LATER IN THE NIGHT

Katherine slowly opened her eyes, she couldn't believe it happened again…. although he's long gone she's still hurt... she knew she isn't at home the moment her eyes were open, where exactly could she be? The hospital of course her subconscious mind spoke, she always finds herself at the hospital anytime it happens to her and there she was asking questions.

She was about taking her bag when she saw Ramon who was seating on a chair at the far end of the room, he doesn't seem to notice she was awake as his attention was on his phone and he seemed to be engrossed with whatever he was doing on it, was he forced to stay with her? She doesn't really care whether he was there or not. Why did she even think it was pain she saw earlier? Her eyes were tricking her? She nodded it off…... she's traumatized by men especially those in the same age as him

 "cain wouldn't dare show up in front of me, except he wants to die" she muttered silently before finally grabbing her bag which was placed on the edge of the bed ...  she misses her son already and needs to check up on him… she isn't really worried about him since he's with a trusted Nanny at home, she reached for her phone in her bag, dialed the Nanny's number and waited patiently for her to answer and few seconds later she did…

"hey Zoe, how is he? Is he fine" Katherine asked….

"yes he is, he's in bed already ma'am" came the reply of the Nanny... Katherine wanted to talk to her son, she wanted to at least hear from him before she gets home but since he's asleep she'll just have to wait till she's home... speaking of which, she needed to leave the hospital already, she wants to see her son, she misses him a lot

Right there in the room the memories of her time in the labor room flooded her and she smiled…. She remembered how she almost died in the labor room and how happy she was when she heard Andy cry, that day was the happiest day of her life.

 Andy is Katherine's son, the only precious thing cain left with her and he's 5, cain had left her when she was pregnant because he couldn't get what he wanted from her, he didn't even know she was pregnant…. Katherine knew nothing would have changed even if she told him she was pregnant. would he have stopped torturing her?  ... just the thought of what he did to her made her sink on the bed she was in and she quickly brushed the thoughts off…... she doesn't want to experience the pain again right there in the hospital. Katherine stood up from the bed with her bag in her hand and headed to the door not minding Ramon and whatever he was absorbed with on his phone and just as she was about to open the door she heard something clink on the tiles and turned to check out what it was only for her to see Ramon staring at her quizzically… Ramon must have dropped whatever made the sound on the floor to gain her attention…

"so you're actually going to leave me here in the hospital room like I'm the sick one? Am I that insignificant to you? You were unconscious and I brought you here, aren't you grateful" he asked, he sounded angry, he really must be mad at her but she doesn't care. all she wants to do right now is to go home and this guy wants to hinder that …. And just like Katherine didn't hear a thing she left the room leaving a shocked Ramon in the room... he really doesn't know her at all, "who does he think he is" she muttered angrily as she finally exited the building and just then did she remember she did not drive herself to the hospital, how would she get home without her car …

Ramon who seemed to be angry exited the building too and met her where she stood frozen at the entrance of the hospital, " oh, how will you get home without your car Miss Katherine? He asked grinning evilly it was his time to pay her back, he got in to his car and drove off leaving Katherine right there at the hospital entrance. She would have called her driver but she doesn't have one since she doesn't like men being around her, knowing fully well she doesn't have a choice ... Katherine ordered a ride which arrived earlier than she thought. All through the ride home, her mind was on Andy, she really can't wait to see him

After paying the driver, she went into her house and of course straight to Andy's room.
