Travis paced up and down, loosening his tie. He felt suffocated by what his father had left behind for him. He had his suspicion from the beginning but chose to give the benefits of doubts first.
He should have known better. If only he applied the family rule before getting himself into this hole, he wouldn't be here now. He felt sweat drip from his forehead.
With his father away, he was in charge of the office work. If it was up to him, he would have already made his way towards her home if he wasnt stamped with work.
He was brought out of his thoughts by the ping from his phone. One looked at the message and a smirk made its way to his lips.
N: Dinner tonight?"
T: Sure. What do you have in mind?
N: Lily is at home. Let's meet there. It would be more convenient.
T: Alright. What time?
N: Sevenish? That alright with you.
T: Sure. See you then.
