A New Alliance
Three months went by successfully without Jasmine having a breakdown. During this time, however, Lorenzo's breakdown was almost daily. Somehow, she became his therapist without trying much.
He would call her whenever he woke up from a nightmare. Some days, she would trigger the memories of his cruelty by ' accidentally ' doing the same thing to him.
To an extent, each time she saw him vulnerable and weak, a part of her would feel relieved.
This made her realize that she fed on his pain, the same way he did on hers. It made her feel like a sadist but who could blame her? He made her one. The relationship between the two, though messed up could be termed as close compared to when they first met.
On this day, the two took a break and decided to go to the beach. Jasmine liked nature hence she welcomed it. Similarly, Lorenzo liked anything that made her happy. It was for this reason that he booked a private beach just for the two of them for the day.
