I was just dreaming...

Megan Pov

I stood on the balcony... Thinking of my Danny, when I used to stand alone like this, he use to hug me from behind, kiss my nape, calling my name in my ears, making me shiver at his touch, but now I stand here in cold alone...this is how I have lived for past five years, only his memories warm me... Though I just shouted at Christine, for not checking properly, I was so happy to see Daniel today, I know it was him, as soon he entered the conference room, that perfume that belonged only to him, he looked so handsome, charming, and of course complete Businessman, I just wanted to run into his arms, and hug the man, that I was missing so much, each second of my life, but it's different now, he's not mine anymore, I pretend to talk to others, so I stop seeing him... But when he addressed me, Miss Felix, I was completely broken, so he had moved on if it was still my Daniel... Forget it, as I was in thoughts, Christian walked with Red wine, I do drink now, very rare when I can't really refuse... But still, I am not comfortable with that taste or smell, Crystal walked in with my coffee...

We were three, talking, while I said,

"This was our wedding house, we didn't live many days here, but lived very happily... All days with Daniel here was..."

I stopped, a low sob echoed in my voice, when Christine, dragged me to him, put his hands around my shoulder when Crystal said

"You love him so much, Megan, then why are you torturing yourself... Go tell him you still love only him"

I shook my head and said

"I can't, Crystal, he should have moved on by now... He may even have kids, and a happy family, I have already been a great trouble to him years ago, now not again..."

"But Megan, if Daniel is also single...then"

"It's impossible, his mother would have not let him be single, she had planned all so well, that I leave him on my accordance itself... I was so happy and replied that I too loved him and he held my hands for a long time, then he felt... I wanted to scream don't leave, but my hands turned cold once his hands left mine, when I realised I was just dreaming... Tears fell from my closed eyes... As I fell asleep...the next morning we left early to B city, I visited Mansion first, and Mr Cole, then checked all files, and accounts of the Mansions, and my shares... For lunch we left for my resort, only M city and N city's resorts were a collaboration project between me and my Brother in law, other all the resorts were mine, no partner... I pay Christine and Crystal 15% from profit, as salary every year, which is in millions... I completed all the work with Christian and Crystal, and arranged a suite for Daniel and his family, by the lake... and personally decorated it as he liked, I knew I was stupid to the core, but I did...

Now, wait for tomorrow morning to see Mr Reid and his family...

Third Pov

It was the most awaited morning for both Megan and Daniel, it was around 10 O clock, when Daniel's car arrived at the resort gate, with his subordinates, Megan had made all arrangements, to welcome them, Christian was in entrance, to welcome the S&S group to the resort when Daniel walked in... He looked around for Megan but didn't find her, but when he entered the entrance, Daniel stood frozen to the entrance, it was the replica of Church ground, with the same cheery blossom trees, with the same stone bench, a small Church in the centre, and at the end of the entrance ground, there was a gate that just resembled the gate in church ground... Eric, called Daniel to bring him back to present,

"Boss..."

Daniel couldn't hold the curiosity anymore, what his little minion as done, he wanted to know, he removed, his suit jacket, loosened his tie, unbuttoned his first two buttons, rolled his sleeves, till his elbow to show his strong hands, he looked younger like this, which was so new to his subordinates... even Eric as not seem him so relaxed during the project inception, Christian explained it was a waiting area, still rooms were allotted, or to enter the theme park... Then they entered the lobby, it was a normal building, with very unique decorations, and as they moved forward, Christine said,

"Mr Reid, this way please, from here we can go to the suites, when we go through that gate we enter the theme park"

Daniel nodded, and when he entered the theme park, he was amazed... It was so beautiful, with the parks for kids, water rides, rain dance, all types of dry rides and wave pool, which grabbed the most of his attention was a board saying "Way to tracking field", when Daniel walked towards it he was well aware what it was... The K city mountain, where Daniel has taken Megan, he smiled thinking that his minion had remembered him whatever she as done when finally Christian said

"Mr Reid, would you like to go on a boat ride"

"Of course, Mr Christine... Which way"

Daniel was curious to know what awaited in the lake...

"This way Mr Reid"

Christian as knowing Megan was very particular when she designed these small...small, theme entries... She use to smile alone when it was done... But when asked why she was smiling, Megan use to just shrugged off, Christian use to think maybe seeing how good it looks, she was happy, but he felt weird when he saw the same smile on Daniel's face, Christian understood, it was something related to the past...

When Daniel walked the lane to the boating deck... They were two ways, one with the proper track, and one had a rough road... Daniel guessed where it would lead, but wanted to see it with his eyes, to confirm his minion loved him and has never forgotten him... So he said,

"Let me take this way... You all go with Eric, let Mr Christian come with me"

As he said he walked the rough road... While Christine walked behind him, both walked in silence, when he reached the same spot as in the lake resort, his smile grew even big, it looked exactly like the same spot, where Daniel lost control when they went on a day trip with James and Olivia... He walked to the bank, where they were stones to sit, he folded his pants, sat on the stone, and put his legs into the water... and grinned like an idiot, Christine called Megan secretly, asking...

"Hai... Hello, Megan, is everything with this man Daniel is good, or is he gone mad after you left him"

"Why do you ask that, what happened to him, is he all ok"

"Hai...Hai, don't panic, he is all good, but he keeps giggling, like a mad guy, as he passes all the themes entries in... Now he walked the other road to the lake, and sat here, on a stone, immersing his legs in water... and started to giggle like he lost his mind"

"What's the camera number there, let me know soon"

Megan was in her office, she was busy, checking the annual report of all her resorts... When she got a call from Christian, she turned to Crystal and said

"Track the camera of the rough road to the lake, and the small sit out there, do it soon"

Crystal hacked the camera and showed exactly where Daniel was sitting, grinning, an unknown smile appeared on her face when she saw Daniel like that, he was enjoying the place, Megan remembered what happened on that day, her face started to turn red... Seeing which Crystal, was shocked... Megan as never show any emotions on her face, this was the first time she has seen Megan blush, she shook her head and walked out, Daniel enjoyed the moment while thinking, every detail of this resort was, they start to end... He now wanted to confront Christine, so he turned to Christine... And asked

"What's the relation between you and you Boss, do you like her"

Christian laughed out aloud, and said,

"Mr Ried, you do good jokes, of course, I like Megan, who will not like a girl like her, she's so pure, innocent, brave, kind, very skilled, but my liking for her is different, I like her as my friend, and I am grateful for her kindness...who helped me and my sister while our parents dead, She is an angel in our life... I know who you are Mr Reid, what relation I have with Megan is not your consent now"

Daniel bowed his head while rubbing his nape and asked

"When did you know, and how"

"I came to know when we were in our final year, we had our internship program on a cruise, after our work, everybody else use to enjoy, party, try to become friends with rich guys, ladies on the cruise, but Megan use to be very withdrawn, already everybody in university knows, that she was a nerd, so no one uses to care much about her, though my sister stayed in her house, Megan never opened up to her too, she was a good friend with us, but never spoke with us about her family or anything that personal..."

Daniel looked at Christine, his heart ached like been cut with a knife and asked

"How lonely she was..., when did she finally open up"

"I said, on our internship, the day I found her in back of the deck, all alone, sitting in the cold breeze, crying...I didn't know why she was crying, so I took her from there to my room, and gave her some wine, so she warms up fast, but first, she refused, then literally forced and made her drink two glasses, which made her tipsy... When she lost it and cried, for the whole night, say every bit thing of you"

Daniel just nodded his head, he didn't know what to say, his heart was completely in a mess, how much she suffered because of him... Thinking of it, Daniel just want to see Megan now, then got out of the water... He thought of something and again asked Christian

"Christine, tell one thing, does she love you"

"Daniel, you must be crazy, to ask such questions, what matters you, whether she loves me or anyone else, you have nothing to do with her"

When Christian said that, Daniel was so angry, he wanted to kill him, who is he to say that I have nothing to do with her... I turned into my own self, the ruthless businessman and asked

"Ok, then I have nothing to do with her but this project, so I need few changes in K city project, I need to talk to your Boss, ask her to be in the meeting room, in an hour, show me my room, I need to change"

When Christian asked one of the staff to show Daniel his room, Daniel quietly followed them, when he reached his room, only by looking at its decorations, Daniel knew it was done by Megan, he promised himself, he had found her, at any cost he will not let her leave, whatever it takes, he will get Megan back...
