Jayde simply stared at him, waiting to see if he would actually tell her. She also was going to refuse to answer him as it was obviously what he was aiming for. Theo always wanted to receive a response, a reaction to whatever he said or did.
That fact became more obvious when he curled his hand around her throat, his thumb pressing almost gently into the underside of her jaw as he tilted her head back. Jayde tried to jerk backwards, out of his grip, and he tightened it to the point of pain so she couldn’t.
