"Daniel, I know I go overboard sometimes, but you have to understand that I am worried about you." Melissa sighed. "Even though Owen is the bigger one, you are more mature and sensible than him. I want you to understand your mother's concern."
"I just want to see you both happily settled down before I die," she added.
Keeping quiet for a while, Daniel asked, "When and where?"
She took out a small chit from her pocket and gave it to him. "6 o’clock, Hillmount restaurant. Her number is in the chit."
He sighed and quietly took the chit. Melissa always used the emotional 'Death' card to send him on forced dates, and he had no other choice but to comply.
Just then, Theodore entered the mansion. When he saw Daniel, he approached him.
"You are here." He sat beside him. "When did you come?"
"A while ago," Daniel vaguely answered. The tension between the grandfather and grandson was very evident.
