I sign the dotted line

I wake up feeling more relaxed than I have in days. A new day, a new life is just starting, and I plan to make the most of it.

Throwing of the sheets I get dressed and ready for my first day as an adventurer.

"Oh, you're up. Come help me move these potions.". As I reach the bottom of the stairs I see Naaza coming out of a room with boxes in her hand.

"Remember you break it you buy it."

"If you trust me that little don't let me hold them."

Coming out to the front desk area I see Lord Miach at the counter waiting for us.

"Good you're both here. Now Jack as part of my familia you'll need to go to the guild and get registered as an adventurer. After that you can get some guild issued gear. We would normally help you with that as a familia, but we don't have enough on hand for anything better. Also Naaza will be going with you as a witness."

"Why not you Lord Miach."

"What got something against going with a pretty lady like me?". Naaza gives me this evil eye look.

"Uh, no, just thought it might be more peaceful that way.". I back away a little from her intensity with hands up

Before Naaza can question what I mean by peaceful, Lord Miach steps in.

"I want her to go with you because of this. You two are a familia and while banter is good I would like you two to get to know each other a little better, and I think this trip might help with that. Also Naaza knows her way around the guild better than me."

"Well I can't argue with that. Never turn down getting to know a pretty lady as they say."

"Good to know you appreciate it, and make sure you thank Lord Miach for this wonderful chance."

"Sure will do, thank you Lord Miach for the chance to get to know Lady Naaza. Never will I be able to make it up to you. In fact I think it would be best I avoid this debt of gratitude and go on my own."

*Sigh* "Just go you two and make sure you make it back in time so we can go celebrate adding a new member."

""Yes""

As we're walking along the road I figure Lord Miach has a point and I would at least like to make sure we don't cause him any trouble.

"So since we're now familia and all is there anything I should know about you pretty lady."

"Well first of all no matter how pretty I am it's hands off for you. My heart belongs to Lord Miach so don't go getting any funny ideas."

"Oh, perish the thought. Besides it was kinda obvious when we were talking last night you have feelings for him. So how does that work being a lover of a god?". I'm genuinely curious as there are lots of stories about stuff like this back on earth and it tickles the heart just a bit to see how it is here.

"um,uh we..we're actually not lovers.". Naaza looks down whether from embarrassment or disappointment I can't quite tell.

"Wait but what was that thing about how you'll always be pretty to him?"

That seems to be the spark that lit the gunpowder and just about the entire rest of the way to the guild,.all I can hear from her is ranting on how he talks like that to every girl, how he's constantly giving away potions, and every other failing of Miach. Though she does tell me about losing her arm and not being able to fight monsters as well. All in all I think I know her a lot better now and feel closer now with shared commiserating.

*Sighhhh* "Thanks for that. I guess I've been pent up about it for a while now but sometimes Lord Miach can be so frustrating."

*Haha*. "I understand and don't worry I have some experience listening to people's troubles, runs in the family I guess. Besides if Lord Miach was any different you wouldn't love him or I wouldn't have joined would we."

"You have a point but I just wish he would stop attracting girls whenever he goes out. What's even worse is he doesn't even realize it!"

*Haha*. "Well we're here now so let's move on and get me registered then you can go back and make sure he isn't two timing right?."

Together we enter the guild building and I got to say it's always impressive. There aren't many adventurers present so I don't get to admire the scenery; though I do get to meet a beauty sooner so maybe that's okay.

"Hi Miss Tull right? I'm back and happy to say I found a familia."

"Ah yes, I'm glad to hear it Mr..."

*sigh* "Jack, Jack Lee, and this is Naaza my senior in my familia."

"Hello I'm here to make sure this fool doesn't get lost."

"Well let me just get the paperwork for you and we can get you registered right away."

She steps out for a bit and comes back with a couple sheets of paper. What follows is rather modern and therefore boring paperwork. You'd think getting isekaid would mean no paperwork but no it seems there is no running from the dreaded pencil pushing.

"And there. Is there anything else I need to sign or do?"

"No, now you just need to meet your guild adviser for an introduction and you can decide what to do from there."

*Huh*. "I was thinking you'd be my advisor since you did all the paperwork with me."

"No, you see the guild rotates who takes new adventurers in order to make sure the work is spread out."

"Okay, then who is my adviser."

"Well for you it would be Misha Frot."
