"What happened to your eyes?"
Zach heard the question but he didn't bothered today know who's asking neither he bothered to answer it.
"Let me see... " the girl wiped the sweat and tears away from his whole face.
"F**k off!" Zach held her hand and threw it aside. "Do you follow me Mady!?" he asked.
"No but... isn't it a coincidence that we always meet whenever you need me?" she smiled.
"I don't need anyone Madison, get lost!" Zach took the bottle of Irish and started drinking with arrogance.
"Oh, you sure do Zach. You know what and whom exactly you want and need. Now choice is yours." Madison left with his bottle after saying that.
Zach kept looking at Madison's back. She's wearing a golden party dress that's totally looking hot on her. And her bare legs with that golden boots oh my gosh, Zach is losing control now.
He follows Madison to another man. He was asking her for a dance but Zach snatched her hand away from him.
"She's mine!" Zach said.
"oh okay." the blonde haired man said in a surrendering voice.
"Come here Mady...do you know what happened today?" Zach took a deep breath.
And Madison is waiting for his mouth to open and say what happened.
"Today is the worst day of my life, Mady. I... I just can't believe that... " Zach stopped. His chest is hurting again. His heart started beating faster.
"Believe what? Zach?" Madison asked.
"I punched him." Zach sobbed.
"You punched whom?" she asked concerned. "My...dad?" Zach is confused on what to call him. "Sorry, Mr John." he corrected as he remembered what his dad said. "Not my son anymore!" these words are echoing in his head. He is feeling dizzy suddenly.
"You punched your dad. okay.... " Madison said. "Wait, your dad!? What are you? Crazy?" she asked after realizing his dad is dead. "Don't tell me you punched a dead man, Zach!" she became crazy too.
"Are you alright Madison?" Zach asked. "Why on earth would I punch a dead man? He is... he's alive." He stood straight and tried to be stronger.
"Your dad is alive?" Madison needed some time to digest this fact. "Oh my God Zach, he's alive!!!" she shook his hands in excitement but her face went pale after seeing Zach's pale face. "Aren't you happy that your dad is alive?" "Happy!? Seriously Madison!? You're just ruining my mood. Why should I be happy about the man being alive who just faked his death and I couldn't forgive myself for it because I thought I was the only one at fault!? Everyone made me feel that I was the one who was guilty when he's the main culprit!" Zach broke the bottle on the ground after shouting so loud and almost everyone looked at them.
"Umm... Zach... this is public." Madison reminded him. "Let's go home, come on." Madison held his hand and he went to the bartender again.
"Why are you so stubborn Zach!?" Madison went running after him.
"What? I just want to buy a bottle or two of wine." suddenly Zach's behavior became soft and calming. "You wait outside I'll be there." Zach said.
Madison left slowly and after turning around from Madison he made such a face that could tell you that he's trying so hard to hide all his feelings.
"Okay let's go." Zach gave her a hand and she grabbed it.
"How are you so nice to me right now?" Madison asked confused.
"Why? You don't like it?" Zach asked smiling. "Of course I like it even I love it." Madison smiled back. "Umm Zach can I ask you a question?" she hesitated to ask this.
"Yeah...go on." Zach said drinking the wine.
"How do you afford all this special wine and everything else?" Even after hesitation, she asked it anyways.
Zach stopped drinking suddenly and looked at her with a cold gaze. Madison got nervous and said, "It's okay if you don't want to tell."
"I work for a party, you know Andre Brandon?" he asked.
"You mean that gangsta!?" she asked too.
"Yes yes you got that right." Zach smiled again.
Madison is looking at Zach with big two eyes, she can't believe Zach joined them. "They are criminals Zach! Are you one of them too?" Madison asked.
"Why? Won't you love me anymore if I am?" Zach asked raising an eyebrow.
Madison thought it for a second and said, "I love you no matter what Zach."
"That's my girl." Zach pinched her nose softly and laughed a little.
"But would Stella love you after knowing these?" Madison asked that stopped Zach from smiling.
He thought something for a while. "I... don't...know..." He's super confused right now.
"You don't know? Let me tell you. No, she won't." Madison held his shoulder with one hand and said, "You know how much she hates these people. And if she knows what you truly are, whom you work for, she won't be able to digest all of this and eventually brake up with you."
Zach didn't uttered a word.
"What are you thinking Zach? It's the only truth. She hates gangsters!" Madison finished her words then took the bottle from Zach's hands while he was looking at it with sadness in his eyes and she started drinking.
"I don't wanna talk about it Mady." Zach said looking at his hands.
Madison held his hands and made him sit down at a bench. "You know I love you no matter what Zach. You are perfect the way you are, okay?" Madison held his face between her two grips and kissed his nose which probably made Zach feel better.
Madison smiled at him and said, "Now let's go home." While waiting for his hands to hold her hands.
They walked til midnight, shared some of their secrets about past and present. Laughed together and Zach realized how much he actually missed Madison.
"I love you Madison." Zach said. "But I love Stella too." he confessed.
Madison smiled at his confession even though she was getting jealous, really jealous. "Okay bye, I'll manage to go home from here. You be careful Zach." Madison waved him goodbye and "Goodnight darling." she added.
"You too." Zach said and headed to the lake.
