Chapter 6 : Let's go for a walk (2)

Aizel couldn't believe it; he really managed to get out of the place. Who knows when was the last time he went out, even Aizel himself doesn't remember.

Suddenly Xian looked at him.

" My queen, you can now go to your parent's place. No need to accompany me, it will only waste more of your time. I will come there for you later when we're about to go back to the place." Xian said with a smile. He really wants to have a date with his queen but knowing that his queen had not seen his parents for years, Xian didn't have the heart to do so. He can still have a date with his queen some other time so there's no need to push it.

After Aizel left, Xian commanded Quin, one of his shadow guards to guard Aizel. Even though Aizel can protect himself there's nothing bad about being too cautious .

As Xian walked around he continued to observe his surroundings. Even being around in this world for a short while Xian manages to have a good idea of this world. Yesterday he found out that this world had magic in it.

Apparently there are two types of magic users in this world. Those who are the noble bearers and the contractual bearers.

The noble bearers are the nobles who have magic inside them, more like hereditary magic. The purer the noble's blood is, the more powerful they are. On the other hand the contractual bearers are those who made a contract with a noble. The contract must be agreed by both parties, breaking the contract may cause serious consequences or even death.

Apparently the original owner of this body had a massive amount of magic power inside but even so he had never once used it even after death. Truly a diamond that wasn't able to shine.

The people in this world use magic for their everyday life. Though magic can only be used by the nobles and contractuals, common people are able to use magic stones and magic items.

Magic stones and magic items can be made by the nobles but mostly the contractuals. Nobles provide the materials and magic while the contractuals do the labor; Much like an employer and his employees.

Magic stones or Mana stones are the one that powers the magic items. It's somewhat like a magic storage that stores mana much like a battery or a power bank in his previous world.

Magic items on the other hand are used in ways. First is it could be used in everyday life like supplying water or giving light in the night and second is it could be used for battles.

Magic items used in battles are called magic weapons. Magic weapons are powered by mana stones making them more powerful for example a flame sword is only a normal sharp and durable sword without a mana stone, but if you put the mana stone in the flame sword the blade of the sword will be covered by flames making it easy for the user to cut iron like a butter.

That said, not all people can afford magic items and mana stones. Magic items and mana stones have limited numbers making them very expensive. The greater the quality, the more expensive it is. That's why not all can have access to them, they were mostly bought by wealthy merchants and people with high social standings.

It was not very visible in the capital but Xian guessed that beyond the walls of the capital city people do not live a very comfortable life.
