Chapter 27: The Attack ( 3 )

Aizel looked at the rocky path before him. They have somehow managed to get Dragon's location and it brings them to this place but until now he still hasn't even seen the shadow of the man. It must have been Eagle's suggestion to make a camp to a place like this. The place is surrounded by mountain ranges, there's good quality soil nearby and other resources. It's a very good place to build a fort to defend from the outside attack.

Aizel sighed but after hearing a rustling of the leaves, Aizel and his soldier immediately prepared themselves. Aizel signals the soldier to check behind the bushes. Seeing the young general's signal one of the soldiers steadily and quietly walks towards the bushes. He draws out his sword getting ready for any sudden attack.

Brushing the bushes away the soldier was about to attack what's in the bushes when he was suddenly cut in half. Looking at their comrade suddenly being cut in half in front of their eyes the soldiers couldn't help but be surprised.

Aizel's eyebrow wrinkles a bit seeing his soldier's tragic death. He then looked at the smirking man before him.

" Eagle." He called the man's name with intense coldness.

How come Eagle is here now? He should at least be held off by Ellis. If he did manage to go past them that means his brother might already be…

Aizel couldn't help but feel the pain of his heart tightening. He looks at the man before him as the temperature around him lowers. Suddenly Aizel disappeared from his place and attacked the man before him. Eagle blocked his attack making the ground his stepping on breaks as a thick layer of ice forms beneath his feet. Eagle pushed the young general away jumping back as a gigantic ice boulder appeared beneath the place we were previously standing at. Aizel clicks his tongue and attacks Eagle one again making Eagle do nothing but to defend.

The soldier around them can't help but watch the battle happening in front of them. They can hardly see the movements between their general and Eagle. They might want to help their general but they know they would only get in his way given the current situation. Suddenly a big explosion destroyed the giant boulder which their general previously created. They looked at the scene and found Eagle in the middle vomiting a great amount of blood. The soldiers cheered seeing the upper hand their general had in the fight but they immediately stopped when they saw their general vomit a mouthful of blood as he fell kneeling to the ground.

Seeing the young general on his knee a laugh can be heard from somewhere. A man with a huge muscular body, tan skin, ash hair and sky colored eyes with a scar on his left eye walks out of the bushes.

" So you finally decided to show yourself." The young general said looking at the man, Yes this man is indeed the leather of the bandits, the man they have been finding for a while now, Dragon.

" I'm pleased to finally meet you, Demon of the battlefield, the Cold Hearted General Aizel Von Kinsley, or should I say his highness the Queen?" Dragon said laughing mockingly at the young general.

" You! How dare you mock our general!" The soldiers attacking the man.

Seeing his men attack the man before him Aizel immediately shouted to stop them but it was all too late. They weren't even a meter near their target but they immediately fell down to the ground, lifeless.

Seeing his men's death Aizel looked at Dragon glaring at him. He was about to stand up, he suddenly feels heavy and he suddenly feels dizzy. He lifted up his eyes when he saw Eagle walking towards Dragon.

" Brother you're finally here. You have done a very good job brother." Dragon said patting Eagle's shoulder and walking towards Aizel drawing out his sword planning to land the final blow.

Aizel looked at Dragon wanting to move but his body didn't listen to him. He has obviously been poisoned by Eagle. Is this his weapon's ability?

The Soldiers were about to run and protect their general when a sword suddenly penetrated Dragon from his back going through his chest.

" Your welcome brother." Eagle said smiling evilly holding the handle of the sword that penetrated the leader of the bandits.

" Brother … YOU..!" Dragon said as he looked at Eagle while Eagle pulled out his sword making the blood flow out of his wound.

Aizel and the Soldiers looked at the two bandits specifically Eagle confusedly. Did the two leaders of the bandit fight? A battle between power?

" Brother.. WHY?!" Dragon asked, glaring at the man before him, his own brother.

Eagle's lips curve more looking down at Dragon that is currently kneeling on the ground just like the young general he previously fought with.

" I wonder, why~" Eagle said, lifting his hand, putting it on his neck and peeling off something like a mask and the man before them slowly changes, Not just in face but also his build.

His hair changed into jet black, his body became much leaner, and his slowly turns in ash gray color a symbol to nobility… of a royalty.

" Hey , My Queen it's been a while." The young man said, smirking at the young general.
