New Life

Audrey woke up with the sun streaming through her curtains, she doubled her brows and placed her hand over her eyes.

"Oh, damn, what a short sleep," She muttered.

She sat up in her white bed and looked over at her side table. She reached out and grabbed the framed picture, sighing as she stared at the person in the frame.

"How much I miss you, Lake, it's been five years," She smiled nostalgically then kissed the picture.

"I hope you're happy," She whispered against the picture.

There was a soft knock on the door of her room and she slowly placed the picture back on the table, stretching her hands above her head.

"I'll be ready in a minute, Green," Audrey yawned, cracking her neck.

The knocking stopped and she slowly got out of bed, putting her feet into her fluffy slippers.
