A boy wakes up in his usual cupboard under the stairs. Confusion hits him as he remembers dying by a truck. Suspiciously the front of the truck looked like it was smirking at him as it ran him over. Then he gets all the memories of Harry Potter's memories and realizes where he is. He can't remember his name or personal memories from his past life but he does remember all the anime and fanfics he watched and read. He can't wait to experiment with magic and reach the peak of this world. I do not own any of the characters from the Harry Potter series.
After death I found myself floating in what seems to be space.
There is nothing around me and just endless blackness with twinkling stars surrounding me.
I can't remember much before I died but I do remember the truck that ran me over.
The lights looked like they were squinting and the front of the car bumper curved upward a little before it hit me.
It looked like it was smirking at me as it ran me over.
That has all the signs of truck-kun and I can't help but be hopeful that I'll get wishes and be reincarnated.
As soon as I thought that I felt something pull me and then I lost consciousness.
I woke up to my whole body aching.
Even my mind seemed slower and I had a constant dull headache.
I opened my eyes and looked around to what could only be a small closet.
I looked at my hands and noticed that they were very small and could only belong to a child.
My headache intensified and I gained the memories of the body that I took over.

What kind of joke is this and then suddenly I though about a fat walrus that proclaimed itself as my uncle Vernon and everything finally made sense.
I am Harry James Potter, The-Boy-Who-Lived, Fate's whipping boy, Albus The Old Goat Dumbledore's pet project, Death's Master, and now the reincarnated.
I calm my breathing and begin to think about my situation which is really hard and then a screen pops up in front of me.

So this is my so called cheat
I get to choose what talents I can have.
Thinking about my current situation and how I'm going to be living in a castle with two mind readers, I'm going to have to choose Mind Arts as one of my major talents.
In this world magic is seriously deteriorated compared to other fanfics and anime worlds I have watched so I don't want to limit myself to this worlds subjects such as charms and transfiguration.
That eliminates any singular subject for my main talents.
For my second major talent I chose Mana Sensitivity which will let me better sense and understand how magic works.
Being a major talent it also gives me instinctual understanding of what certain magical things do or how they function.
For my third major talent I chose runes as this is something that is used in many fan fictions and anime.
With this talent I can create wards, enchant objects, and even create spells by mimicking what runes do naturally.
For my minor talents I chose battle magic and spell creation for obvious reasons.
For my last one I chose mana control to make it easier for me to make and use spells with less mana.
With my choices done I was already exhausted and fell back to sleep.
