Chapter 26: Homecoming

After discussing matters with Fred and George, Eisen left. Just before Christmas Day, Eisen departed from Hogwarts School, intending to return home for a while to spend a proper Christmas with his parents. Indeed, since Eisen had entered the wizarding world, more than a year had passed without him contacting his family. This Christmas, he had to go home; otherwise, his family might think he had gone missing.

Of course, as for whether or not to tell Jeff and Evie that he had become a wizard, Eisen felt it was best to be cautious. After all, the wizarding world might be quite chaotic and dangerous in the coming years, and involving his parents might not be a good idea. Perhaps, once Voldemort was defeated and the safety of the wizarding world was greatly improved, it would be a better choice to let his parents know everything.

Since Eisen already had several Storage Rings, all his belongings and possessions were kept inside them. Therefore, he didn't need to pack much and left Hogwarts lightly.

Previously, the Hogwarts Express had already taken the students home, so Eisen didn't catch that convenient ride. With Eisen's abilities, he could have directly Apparated from Hogsmeade Village and instantly returned to his home.

However, after careful consideration, Eisen felt he should calm himself and re-integrate into the Muggle world, shedding his wizarding aura to avoid raising his parents' suspicions. So, Eisen decided to return home the Muggle way.

After nearly half a day of travelling by train and bus, Eisen finally made it back to his home in the county of Manchester. Thanks to his "precognition" from his previous life in the Muggle world, Eisen had managed to improve his family's financial situation considerably. As a result, they had moved to the small town of Altrincham, closer to his parents' workplaces.

However, before entering the house, Eisen still felt a bit apprehensive. Although his parents didn't interfere with his actions due to his ability to earn money, he hadn't contacted them for over a year. Therefore, Eisen expected to be scolded by his parents upon returning home.

Moreover, his parents still thought he was working at a film company in London. If they ever had the sudden urge to visit the film studio and couldn't find him, wouldn't that expose him? So, this time, even though Eisen didn't plan to tell his parents about the wizarding world, he had to come up with an explanation in advance to address their concerns.

At six o'clock in the evening, Eisen's parents, Jeff and Evie, returned home on time. They expected everything to be as usual, but to their surprise, they found their son Eisen in the living room.

"Eisen? Where have you been for over a year? Why are you only coming back now?" Upon hearing the door open, Eisen already knew who it was. Sure enough, when Eisen turned his head, he saw his mother on the verge of tears.

"Oh, Mom, I'm sorry, but the company was too busy," Eisen said, his head feeling a bit heavy upon seeing Evie's expression. Well, in his mother's eyes, he would always be a child.

Even though he had proven his ability to earn money, Evie still didn't feel comfortable with him living alone in London.

"Alright, I've come back to spend Christmas with you this year!" Eisen stepped forward, embracing his parents and guiding them to sit together on the couch.

"How's the work at the company?" Jeff's expression remained much calmer, but he still took the opportunity to ask a question. It seemed his father was more concerned about his career.

"Not bad, I've actually decided to start my own film company," Eisen said with a matter-of-fact expression, revealing his plan.

In reality, Eisen's life plan had long been abandoned. The reason he said this now was that he wanted his father, Jeff, to manage the film company he would set up.

Eisen had thought it through. Since he had decided to venture into the wizarding world, his plans to start a film company would inevitably be scrapped. However, upon further reflection, Eisen realized that if he directly opened a film company and handed it over to his father to manage, it might work.

This way, he could use the excuse of negotiating business deals to disappear from his parents' presence as needed. Perhaps, as long as he occasionally sent the company some scripts, there wouldn't be any issues.

"Starting a company, Eisen, isn't it a bit early for you to start a company now?" Evie's face showed a worried expression. She thought her son had only been at the film company for a little over a year and didn't fully understand the ins and outs.

"Yes, so I plan to change the plan a bit. After the company is set up, I hope Dad can help me manage it," Eisen didn't argue with Evie's words; instead, he smoothly mentioned his revised plan.

"I'm just a technician; how would I manage a company!" Jeff looked at his son, his face showing an expression as if he were joking.

"No problem, you can find a manager to run it," For Eisen, this was a trivial matter. After all, to get a film company up and running, it was enough to recruit talented individuals for each position.

Afterwards, Eisen discussed his ideas with his parents. According to Eisen, he planned to register a film company in London, and then Jeff could quit his job at the car factory, move to London, and take over the management of Eisen's film company. As for his mother Evie, she could also transfer to the London branch and continue her work as an editor.

This way, they wouldn't have to live apart anymore.

Next, Eisen spent Christmas with his parents at home, and then he and Jeff went to London to register Eisen's film company. After Eisen deposited one million pounds into the company's account, he completely let go of it.

As Eisen was idling, he suddenly learned of the dissolution of the Soviet Union from television news. It was then that Eisen realized, although there were many more wizards in this world, the overall development of the world remained the same as in his previous life.

It was a pity, however, that Eisen wasn't involved in that circle. Otherwise, he could have made a fortune, perhaps even enough to retire early.

Putting aside Eisen's musings about life, on the other side, Harry received a very important gift in his life during Christmas—an Invisibility Cloak, which had belonged to his late father.

Although Harry and Ron had already gone crazy and no longer cared about Nicolas Flamel, after receiving the Invisibility Cloak, Harry had a brilliant idea.

Harry thought he could wear the Invisibility Cloak to freely roam the corridors of Hogwarts at night. Even the Restricted Section of the library, which required a professor's permission to enter, he could now access freely. This way, he could directly go to the Restricted Section and search for information on Nicolas Flamel.

Before going to bed that night, after thinking of all this, Harry secretly slipped out from under the covers and donned the Invisibility Cloak. For some reason, Harry didn't wake up his friend Ron; instead, he quietly made his way through the common room and climbed out of the portrait hole alone.

The library was pitch-black. Although Harry managed to enter the Restricted Section as desired, unfortunately, he searched aimlessly and couldn't find anything. Instead, when he pulled out a black-and-silver large book, it let out a shrill, piercing scream that startled him. The noise attracted Filch's attention, and Harry hastily put the book back on the shelf and fled.

Subsequently, to avoid Filch and the approaching Snape, Harry entered an abandoned classroom. In this abandoned classroom, Harry discovered a magnificent mirror with an ornate golden frame, supported by two claw-like feet and reaching up to the ceiling.

In this mirror, for the first time in his life, Harry saw his parents. He saw their appearance and their caring gaze upon him.

The Mirror of Erised lived up to its reputation as a mirror capable of showing one's deepest desires. Consequently, after seeing his parents, Harry secretly came here for several days in a row, indulging in the vision. Even when Ron found out and tried to dissuade him, Harry couldn't be stopped.

With this mirror, who cared about Nicolas Flamel anymore? Harry had long forgotten about him, and as for Professor Snape, even if he had stolen something, what did it matter?

If the story progressed this way, the prophecy's savior, Harry, would likely fail. However, Dumbledore clearly wouldn't allow that. So, on the third day when Harry intended to continue, Dumbledore intervened.

After a profound conversation, Dumbledore warned Harry not to become obsessed with false fantasies and forget about real life.
