HEIR

Harry got up, before his relatives could start making his day worse and summoned minnie. Minnie was under instructions from yesterday and therefore made sure to appear without making much noise, after noticing Harry she did a bow before asking if the young master would like some breakfast or refreshment to start the day. This was a first for Harry as even after living out a whole Hogwarts experience he never had anyone caring about him at a personal level.

Harry soon got out of his thoughts and had her make a simple english breakfast along with some coffee. He asked her to make his clothes clean and to a proper fitting with a simple charm to hide these effects from his relatives. As he went around doing the daily chores he asked minnie to go back to the head teller and ask him to prepare the heir ritual and that he would like for it to finish it before the week was over.

The house soon began bustling with the Dudley's as they went about their daily routine. Seeing that Harry had already got up made breakfast and started on his chores his aunt was a bit surprised that the boy has seemingly accepted the reality after these many years and no longer seem to be putting any resistance in the way they had been treating him. She soon forgot about it had she had her dudleykuns to get ready for the school.

As has been the case for the past few days Harry moved out of the house after completing his afternoon chores and moved till he was out of sight from the street and summoned minnie. She quickly apparated them to the goblins bank and there the head teller was already seated in the room they had spoken in yesterday.

The head teller had already prepared for the ritual and asked harry to please wear the heir rings one after the other. Harry had known about the heir rings but he was always under the impression that they would also require a ritual as everything of importance in the magical world seemed to have one, but upon understanding that was not case he placed the heir rings on his fingers but then the head teller reminded him that he should select the finger with careful consideration as the ring finger on the left hand is to be reserved for whichever house he placed most importance in and once selected cannot be undone.

Harry thought about it for a while but still selected the Potter family ring to be given more importance, once the rings were placed they pretty easily accepted the new bearer. Seeing everything proceeding smoothly harry had a relief look on his face but upon recalling the matter about the betrothal he got a little tensed.

Because of his excitement he had forgotten to have the family already be placed under an oath but now that he had already placed the ring the other side would also know that the contract has become valid once again and would very well be on their way to the bank to see the new heir black. Considering that they were also a pureblood family the news about a new Black heir would certainly spread and with it come numerous headaches.

A momentary slip had lead to a serious situation reminding once again that if he wishes to survive he has to be more careful in his future endeavors. The head teller however informed Harry that the goblins already informed the other family that a new Black heir has emerged and he is willing to honour the contract and would need their oath of silence on anything related to him.

Harry was having a confused look on his place but was quickly explained that it was all done on the orders of the king as though Harry seemed mature beyond his years he was still a kid for the king and the king had informed everyone that the things that he missed should not be overlooked by the goblins and that they should hide him till he his assured to be able to come out.

Harry was very happy on how well the Goblin king treated him and that unlike in the wizarding community where relations were slowly losing their meaning the goblin king treated him as family after only meeting a day before. He thanked the head teller and asked for the family to be informed that he will be ready to meet them tomorrow at about the same time.

After getting the possession of the heir rings Harry asked for books on occlumency and legilimency and if possible a person to help him practice along with a friend. The Goblin informed Harry that though there were some books in their possession it was highly vague and the better way will be for a gringotts contracted wizard personally teach them. Harry understood and asked him to prepare for lessons everyday in the evening starting from tomorrow.

After bidding his farewell and conveying his thanks to the head teller harry called for minnie and asked her to apparate to a blind spot near Hermione's house. After he reached the house he was glad to see that she was waiting by the door and gave a smiling hello, she seemed to have a look of relief upon seeing him.

After he greeted her parents they went to her room and as she did yesterday they locked the door. Harry soon called minnie and asked for the books. Upon seeing the strange new creature hermione was very excited and seem to have a lot questions but harry quickly dismissed minnie and gestured to Hermione that this was a discussion for another time.

Seeing the various books Hermione was very excited but before she could begin Harry informed her though it all looks very interesting she should first prioritise the laws as that would be their safety net and anything else she could ask harry to get. While she began reading harry too had started on the first year books.

The hours flew by and Harry suddenly thought of something and made his heir rings appear and then told Hermione to concentrate on what he was about to say. He informed Hermione of being the heir of two most ancient and noble houses and also about his riches, he then finally informed her about the marriage contract that came along with one of the family.

Hermione was stunned to say the least, but told him that she would first read everything about how the society works and only then speak back to him and that he should wait till he is informed from minnie that she was ready to meet him again. Harry was ready for her to severe their friendship and this already turned out to be a better result so he headed downstairs said his goodbye to her parents and left.

He reached home, did his chores and silently went back to bed.
