Harem Summoner

"Boom! Haha! You'll never match my top unit! Star Crasher Melia is too good!" I laughed while laughing in game chat, talking to my friends. "Her ability to boost my team's parameters by 200% per Dark Unit is just extremely OP. With a team full of Dark Units, not including my avatar, I'm just unstoppable!"

"Yeah yeah. Laugh it up, Shin. We all know you dropped at least a few hundred on this game." My friend said, sounding a bit irritated that he couldn't take down my units.

"I hear someone over there is highly upset that the competitive scene isn't for him. Here comes Melia's Final Burst! Black Star Crasher!" I said as my unit used her Final Burst and annihilated my friend's entire team.

My friend groaned as he saw the "You Lose" message on his screen. "Good game man, I'm getting off. Hey don't forget, we have our club meeting tomorrow after classes."

"Yeah I know. I'll be there. Just better hope Ray will make it on time. He always shows up late." I smiled as I leaned back on my chair.

"Yeah, but he said this time he'll be here with some news. I'm gonna get some shut eye. See you tomorrow, bro." My friend said.

"See you tomorrow, man." I said then noticed he disconnected.

I decided to continue playing and grind up the Battle Arena with my OP team before the devs decide to nerf Melia. I have to be honest...Harem Summoner has some of the worst power creep I've seen in any game. Last update they had, an Earth Unit named High Huntress Chima was extremely OP as she could heal 20% HP per second and boosted all Earth Units parameters by 190% along with her ability to cast her Burst Moves twice in a row.

Even if the balance wasn't all there, this game is still ranked number 1 worldwide. In a few days they are hosting their 5th Anniversary with hella log in rewards and new units to summon and an entirely new game mode introducing a new story. This game already had enough features such as the Date feature, Summoner's Story Arc, Battle Arena, and so on so forth.

The devs were extremely generous with their different modes and rewards. My favorite mode was the Backstory Mode where you were able to learn more about the character and fight different bosses for insane rewards for that specific character such as weapons, gear, or even some Summoning Stones.

"Man...5th Anniversary already. I remember those days I used to only have a starter unit and my avatar just going through Soria wishing I had enough Summoning Stones to get a new unit, but look at the game now...the biggest game worldwide and it's super friendly for new and veteran players. Took some years to get right, but the devs did it." I smiled then yawned. I blinked slowly then laid my head down, passing out in front of my computer.

Everything was dark...I didn't know what was happening or why I wasn't able to move. I opened my eyes and I noticed I was floating in a black space. A light shined and I grunted as it blinded me for a bit.

"Summoner...I am Bravulla...Goddess of Beginnings. The Genesis as my followers would call me. I am the Goddess of the Gates between worlds...I have been waiting for your arrival." Bravulla said.

I didn't understand a single thing she was saying to me. I didn't know if this was a dream or reality. I tried to speak, but words wouldn't come out and I was stuck staring at the light.

"What is your name, Summoner?" She asked.

I noticed an interface appear in front of me and I looked at bit surprised. I slowly typed in my name. I clicked enter and the interface disappeared.

"Shin...Dear Summoner, beyond this gate holds a new source of great power that awaits you. Power that only you can control along with the other Summoners of this universe. Before you enter through this gate, you must choose a unit to begin your journey with.." Bravulla said.

Six crystals appeared before me and I finally realized that I was going through the beginning sequence of Harem Summoner. I couldn't talk nor stop this sequence, I had to make my choice. I looked at the six crystals and tapped on the first one.

Unit No. 1, Blazing Fiona. Fire Unit. A unit who believes in the Will of the Flames, Hard Work, and Unlimited Potential.

Unit No. 8, Frost Veria. Water Unit. A unit who seeks the right path and the Truth. She believes in only steering in the correct path for a perfect future.

Unit No. 15, Lightning Ravia. Thunder Unit. A unit who thirsts for Justice, and a way to create peace for all. She yearns to create a world where no one suffers.

Unit No. 22, Stone Dreva. Earth Unit. A unit who serves as a beacon of hope for her people. She holds the power to heal those who are damaged.

Unit No. 29, Shining Hikari. Light Unit. A unit of Guidance. She uses her light to guide those who are lost and brings them back to where they belong.

Unit No. 36, Shadow Yuki. Dark Unit. A unit who serves Death. She helps Charon guide damned souls to the underworld where they are sent to suffer for all of eternity.

Last time I started the game, I picked Veria since after the starting area was a Fire Area. I wanted to go with her again to breeze through the beginning of the game, but I decided to pick Shadow Yuki since I had a lot of fun with her in her Dream Form.

Dream Form is also known as True Form or Omni Mode. A unit who is in Omni Mode is classified as an eight star character or known as the Platinum Star Unit. There are different tiers of Units. Tier One, Stars one to three are Bronze Star Units. Tier Two, Stars four to six are Silver Star Units. Tier Three, Seven star units are known as Gold Star Units. The final tier, Eight star units are known as the Platinum Star Units.

After choosing Shadow Yuki, the other five crystals dispersed into magic energy. I looked at the light again and Bravulla began to speak.

"Go...Harness the power to bring peace to this universe. Make this power yours and go forth, Shin..." Bravulla said then an interface appeared in front of me.

I clicked Begin Adventure then everything suddenly went dark again as I fell into another deep sleep...

My body felt warm...the breeze was so nice and...

"...Shin..." A voice called out to me.

The breeze felt so nice and....

"Shin...wake up..!" The voice said to me once again.

The voice seemed to get louder, but I couldn't open my eyes just yet.

"SHIN!!" The voice roared in my ear.

I yelled and sat up quickly. I opened my eyes and looked around then looked surprised. I stood up and looked around the grasslands I was in. I walked backwards, bumping into someone on accident. I jumped and turned around then looked at the woman.

She was a beautiful woman with long blue hair, six purely white angel wings, silver eyes, and a smile that was warm enough to make anyone happy. She wore a white dress with blue and gold accessories all over the dress and I could see her D Cup breasts with an angel marking engraved on the middle of her chest. She had on gold hoops around her wrists and ankles. She didn't wear any shoes or socks so I was able to see the gold markings on her feet.

"What...the hell is this..? Where am I?" I asked. "Is this a joke? Is someone pranking me? Who the fuck are you? Wait...You're that woman from the start of Harem Summoner...wait..you're Cuara, the Guide of Blessings.."

"You're in the World of Soria. And...yes I am Cuara. Has Lady Bravulla told you about me?" Cuara asked.

"Well no, but I do know you- Wait these aren't the lines from the game. Have the NPCs become more sentient and real?" I asked.

"We've always been real..! Just we have always had to follow a script for the players. You don't understand how tired I am of saying the same shit over and over again!" Cuara puffed her cheeks then sighed, looking at me. "At any rate, I need to tell you why you're here...but that can wait for now. We need to find our way across this grasslands and- Hey! Look out!"

Cuara pulled me out of the way from a monster who nearly hit me with its sword. I looked surprised and looked at Cuara.

"It's a Kobald. These things aren't supposed to be in the Graceful Grasslands...something dire is happening..." Cuara said.

"Uhm...would it be the sex crazed Goddesses? Aren't you supposed to know this?" I asked.

"Well yeah, but they haven't been this bad in the normal games. The usual monsters seen would be the Slimes and maybe a skeleton or two. A Kobald is unnatural to this area..." Cuara said then looked at me. "Quickly! Summon your unit to battle!"

I looked at Cuara and nodded then looked at the Kobald then closed my eyes. I held my hand out and dark aura surrounded my body. I chanted quietly and a pillar of darkness crashed down in front of me. I opened my eyes and a beautiful woman appeared in front of me. She had long silver hair and gold eyes. She wore a black shoulderless top that didn't wrap around her entire torso. The top only covered her front and back leaving her sides exposed. She wore black panties and ripped thigh highs with black boots.

She summoned her staff and her dragon tail swayed. She looked back at me, awaiting my orders.

I looked at her and decided to take a look at her stats to see how good she was.

She was surprisingly good for a starter unit. I looked up and noticed the Kobald dashing towards Yuki.

"Dodge the attack Yuki!" I commanded.

Yuki looked at the Kobald then avoided its attack then looked back at me. "Y-Your orders, Master."

I looked at Yuki and at the Kobald. Based on how it moves, its highest stat could be agility and dodging takes up stamina from Yuki. If only I had a weapon so I could help Yuki...the Kobald howled then dashed towards Yuki in zig zag motion.

"Counter the attack and blow em away!" I commanded.

Yuki nodded and parried the Kobald's attack then used her aura to push the Kobald away then twirled her staff around her hand and slammed the bottom of the staff on the ground. A magic circle appeared in front of her and released a powerful magic beam at the Kobald, dealing massive damage on the enemy.

"That's the way!" Cuara cheered.

The Kobald stood up and howled, boosting its attack and its body was surrounded by attack boosting aura. It dashed towards Yuki.

"Dodge it!" I commanded.

Yuki tried to dodge, but the Kobald became too fast for her to dodge and she took a devastating blow. She groaned and was blown away. She landed on her feet then fell to her knees.

"She's weakened..! As a Summoner you can assist her in battle with more than just commands. You can use items on your units to heal them and other effects. Allow me to handle this." Cuara said. "Burst Skill: Shining Blessings!"

She held her hands out and a healing light surrounded Yuki then she stood up, completely healed and her Burst Gauge filled up to full. Yuki's eyes emitted dark aura and my eyes emitted aura as well as I began to subconsciously resonate with Yuki.

"Seems like her Burst Skill is ready to be activated. Sync with her and help her activate the gauge!" Cuara said.

"Yuki! Sync with me!" I yelled.

"Right!" Yuki nodded.

"Burst Skill: Shadow Buster!" I bellowed then my eyes shined.

Yuki bellowed and held her staff to the sky then a massive magic circle appeared above and under the Kobald. A massive beam of energy struck the Kobald and the Kobald was finally slain by Yuki. Yuki lowered her staff and her eyes stopped emitting dark aura.

"Finally! Its gone now you can check the stats of the Kobalt now." Cuara said. "After slaying an enemy, that enemy is registered in your Enemy Book. You can find the book in your menu and clicking the Guide Tab, allowing you to access your Unit Book, Enemy Book, and Item Book."

I nodded and looked at Yuki.

"Let's continue across the grasslands." Cuara said.

"Right." I nodded.
