That time I named the greater demon Satella

Noir and the nameless greater demon (Satella) were having a casual conversation over a cup of tea when suddenly a demon summoning magic circle appeared beside Satella calling for her.

"A demon summoning?" (Satella)

"Kukuku, someone is daring enough to try to summon you. Moreover, this summoner doesn't seem to specify the terms of the summoning. I can sense no intense desire whatsoever or any other negative emotions behind the summoning."

Noir mused, interested in what kind of person would dare to summon a demon only a level below primordial demons in terms of capabilities.

"A random summoning, perhaps." (Satella)

"I doubt it…" (Noir)

Noir tried to use his special means to observe the other side who initiated the summoning ritual, but to his surprise he couldn't peek through at all.

"Interesting…" (Noir)

"Did you find out something?" (Satella)

"That's the interesting part. I cannot peek through the other side at all." (Noir)

"What would you do? Would you accept the summoning? If you're that cautious, I can go in your stead." (Noir)

"There's no need to trouble yourself, and this is my first time being summoned in the material world, I might as well experience the pleasures the outside can offer." (Satella)

"Right, I forgot that you were never once summoned to the other side." (Noir)

"Well, see you later. You still owe me a fight…"

The greater demon (Satella) reminded Noir.

"Kukuku, worry not, I won't run." (Noir)

The greater demon (Satella) nodded before entering the demon summoning circle answering the call of the daring summoner.

"Come forth demon and be of use to me…"

The greater demon was surprised to hear the voice of its summoner.

The voice is childish yet at the same time pleasant to the ears.

Strangely enough after stepping out of the summoning circle she found herself in a place with wholly different laws compared to the spirit world (demon world).

She felt greatly suppressed for some reason baffling her.

She considered this to be her summoner having put out countermeasure against unruly demons.

But to her dismay she was summoned by an ordinary? Child or so she thought.

Looking around she found nothing resembling a demon suppressing artifact that caused her to be weakened considerably.

This confused her even farther, but her attention was drawn by the child who looked at her as if she's some rare specimen.

She suspected the child must have used some sort of medium to summon her after not sensing any hint of energy coming from the little one.

Kai's [Oblivion] art can completely erase one's energy signature making him look no better than any other child.

She asked the child why she was summoned.

"Well nothing in particular I just need a trustworthy servant and demons are known to follow the contract even at the cost of their life…"

The child is clearly knowledgeable for his own good.

He is smart.

He must have known that there's no free meal in this world.

But the way he speaks is too carefree that she's doubting her senses.

She can also feel this invisible suppressive feeling warning her not to do anything that might offend the child before her.

Yet she still decided to act in her part as a demon trying to intimidate the child before her by releasing her demonic aura but to her surprise the child thoroughly ignored her aura treating it as if it were nothing.

At this point her assumption that the child before her is nothing but ordinary shattered.

Her interest towards the child grew to the point that she decided to test him further.

She attacks him with the most common demon magic that only has enough power to immobilize him not enough to kill but unexpectedly enough her attack did nothing.

The child even dared to provoke her to show more.

She thought the child was just boasting and was overconfident, so she still sticks with common spells until the end and well she ended up being beaten and was almost erased accidentally.

She never knew that children of the material world are this fearsome.

No, maybe the child before her is an exception, a born genius perhaps or a monster incarnate to be precise.

Now that she look closely the child before her is on another level in terms of cuteness, if it wasn't for the reverence and respect she felt after being beaten she might have pounced on him taking a bite or two.

She looks at Kai like he is some rare piece of meat, but this hidden desire was thankfully overshadowed by her respect and reverence.

"May I serve you from now on, great one?"

She decided to ask the young boy hiding her hidden agenda.

"Well that's the plan from the beginning…"

Hearing the cute voice of her master she couldn't help but smash her head on the ground to erase the perverted thoughts clouding her judgement.

"You don't have a name right. Why don't I give you one…" (Kai)

The master she recognized wanted to give her a name, such an honor.

But she was also worried about her young master's well-being knowing what naming entailed.

He might get weakened after naming a greater demon such as herself.

She was about to voice out her concern when a realization dawn upon her.

Wouldn't she be the one who will take care of her young master if he we're to be weakened after naming her.

Such as her hidden intention.

"It is my honor to receive a name from you oh great one."

She replied in anticipation already imagining the moments where she'll be able to pamper her weakened master.

"From now on you'll be… wait before giving you a name do you have any other form apart from your original demon form. Surely, you must have a human form of sorts for disguise or something similar. I can use it as preference to the name I'll be giving you."

Right, she's in her based demon form.

To look pleasant to the eyes of her master she quickly transformed to her past life's appearance, but just as she did her master spoke.

"Satella."

She look at her master in shock her mouth forming into a big O but before she could ask how her vision black out…

She was engulfed by darkness as her evolution began.
