Guts had the map, but he realized he was not yet powerful enough to face the dangers that awaited him in order to find the library. To be ready, he needed to perfect both his mastery of fire and lightning. So, he went to the mythical mountain of Kayen, in one of the most isolated territories of the Kingdom of Earth.
It was a secluded and hostile place, where the winds often howled and snowstorms were frequent. But Guts was determined. He was going to stay there for ten months, in order to master the elements as best he could and prepare for the adventure that awaited him.
He built himself a modest hut at the foot of the mountain and immediately began his training. For weeks, he worked on mastering the flame. He already had a fair amount of experience as a warrior and knew how to use his strength, but he had to learn to ignite his anger and passion and transform them into energy he could direct.
Guts trained day and night, using the little food and water he had brought with him. He burned everything within his reach, from small trees to large rocks, leaving nothing untouched. He also trained to face firestorms, to find weaknesses in his enemies' armor, and to concentrate his flames to attack from a distance.
After several weeks, he began to master fire and decided to move on to lightning mastery. It was a more difficult step, requiring greater precision and concentration. He trained to channel his energy to create lightning, starting with small sparks that he sent across the mountain.
He spent months perfecting his technique, learning to sense the invisible threads of energy around him and transform them into deadly lightning bolts. He remembered every battle he had fought and every enemy he had defeated, and used them as a catalyst for his strength.
Finally, after ten long months of hard work, Guts was ready. He had achieved a level of mastery of fire and lightning that he never thought possible. His scars and burns bore witness to the difficulty of his training, but he was satisfied with what he had accomplished.
He picked up his gear and set out in search of the library, with Bumi's map clearly in sight. He was now ready to face all dangers and master all challenges that stood in his way. Guts had worked hard to become the most powerful warrior he could be and he was not going to stop until he achieved his goal.
Mastery is divided into beginner, intermediate, advanced, master, grand master, and supreme levels. By training in fire and lightning mastery for 10 months, he managed to reach the level of master. However, the road to the supreme level remains long and difficult, and he may need years of training to reach it. Nevertheless, Guts is now more powerful than he has ever been and is ready to face the trials to find the famous library.
