Chapter 21: Basco and Blair

Kira arrives at the other arena. Basco, a dark skinned 17 year old with purple tipped dreads, waiting for her.

Basco: Hey Mustard Bird! How've you been?

Kira: Great until Ali sent me here, also don't call me that. I don't know why he couldn't send me to go find Yuuto.

Basco: I know you're happy to see me no need to hide it. Anyways if you're here then the plan is starting already. Though it is early than we were told.

Kira: We'll things change-

???: Basco!!!

A girl with pale skin and red hair runs out of the dome screaming for Basco.

Red Hair Girl: You're not gonna run away from me again!

Kira: What did you do this time?

Basco: I kinda stole a couple hundred dollars from her. And have been running away since.

Kira: You what?!

Basco: Chill out, can you just help me?

Kira: No, you'll deal with this yourself.

Basco: Fine. Hey, how about instead of fighting, we get to know each other? My name is Basco Barry, what's yours?

Red Hair Girl: Oh, well then, my name is Blair Campbell and I'm going to kill you!

She shoots an energy beam from here mouth, Basco barely dodging it. Dragon wings spread out from her back and she chases down Basco, shooting more energy beams from her mouth.

Basco: Looks like you gave me no choice. Behold!

Basco's ability allows him to summon a kite of differing size depending on the number he rolls. This role results in a 2, a small kite which is basically useless.

Kira: Wow, I can tell she's shivering in fear from your incredibly powerful ability.

Blair: The disrespect.

She begins to charge up a huge blast of energy, Basco goes to use his ability again while Blair fires of her blast. Basco roles a 9, the highest role which summons a kite as tall as Basco himself and he's able to use his actual ability redirection to send Blair's energy blast back at her, knocking her out of the sky.

Basco: See, I didn't even need your help.

Kira: Good, now give her her money back.

Basco: Fine.

He digs up 2 briefcases near the entrance and hands them to the weakened Blair.

Blair: Thank you ma'am.

Kira: Please, call me Kira.

Basco: Why thank her, I'm the one who gave you your stuff back...

Kira: Shut up. Hey Blair, wanna come with me and this idiot to destroy this tournament from the inside out?

Blair: If it will help me repay you then I'll be happy to.
