Chapter 31: Pure Nothingness

Basco, Kira, and Blair walk into the loser room. It looks similar to the one Gabriel and Yuuto found but without all the metal, just holes everywhere. Eventually, after what feels like hours of wandering, they reach the heart of the tournament, a giant black orb with slimey tendrils suspending it in the air. In the center of the black orb is a piece of Ali's soul.

Basco: Boom, found it. It's as easy as that.

He goes to reach for it but his hand disappears.

B14CK: This will be your final resting place.

B14CK shoots a beam and the stunned Basco isn't able to move completely out of the way as his arm is seemingly deleted.

Kira: Basco!

Basco: I'm okay, just give me a few minutes.

Thanks to Basco's immense talent when it comes to soul manipulation, he's able to regenerate missing body parts, though at a slow rate. Blair shoots an energy blast out of his mouth but B14CK sticks his hand out and erases the attack.

B14CK: The ability to completely remove things I lay my hands on. This is my Erasure.

Another beam flies from his hand almost hitting Blair but Kira rushes in and slaps his hand out of the way before stabbing the robot in the head. B14CK goes to grab Kira but she moves out of the way.

B14CK: You are strong, but now, you all shall be erased. Secret Soul: Naqi Eadam

B14CK's Secret Soul gives him a veil of darkness that erases anything that goes near him. Kira learns this the hard way as she goes to slash B14CK but her sword disappears.

B14CK: Nothing can affect me now.

B14CK shoots another beam but the recovered Basco with a level 7 kite absorbs the attack before the kite disappears. Blair grabs both Kira and Basco before releasing smoke from her mouth which envelops the already dark room. The three of the then find a spot to hide as they discuss a plan.

Blair: We can't touch him whatsoever. How are we going to get through him?

Basco: Maybe it has a time limit.

Kira: No, only weak, underdeveloped, Secret Souls have that restriction and I doubt his does. How about this Basco.

The smoke begins to clear as Basco puts the plan in motion by getting lucky enough to roll a low number kite, 1. If Basco rolls a 1 the next kite is guaranteed to be a 9. He throws the tiny, hand size kite as a distraction that B14CK falls for as he shoots a beam at the useless object. Basco and Blair then run out from their hiding spot at the same time as B14CK shoots another beam at Basco. Blair shoots her own beam at the level 9 kite and the beams colliding with the kite causes them to fuse before being redirected.

Basco: Let's see if you can withstand your own erasure.

But the beam just gets deleted by his aura.

B14CK: I can control what gets erased and what doesn't. Dumb tricks won't work on me.

Kira: Well how about this trick then. Secret Soul: Neogranichennyy Rezat.
