Chapter 6

-Naofumi POV

How did this happen again? I'm standing on guard now and in front of me is Gudako emitting light so bright I have to close my eyes from time to time, also she is making wind blow from her direction strong enough to shake trees about 8 meters from her. As the light slowly died out, I could open my eyes gradually to see Gudako but in a completely different appearance including clothing and air, but Gudako strangely has her eyes closed, what for?

Anyways Gudako now has golden hair and an ahoge proudly standing on her forehead, she's also wearing a black cap like the ones they use for baseball while her clothes consists of sports jacket, a scarf and a jeans.

After a few seconds of me observing her, she opens her eyes with are green pupils colored like an emerald. After seeing my surprised face she smiled mischievously while brandishing her sword that was by her side, and she proudly declared "I am the one and only true saber Mysterious Heroine X, although I am considered being a new Heroic Spirit due to the fact that I am from the future, I am a bona fide legend!"[MHX]

Hearing her proclamation I blanked out for a bit due to not able to see how exactly the clothes that she wore links to being worn by someone who became a legend, but hearing her saying that she's from the future explains that part. But there's still one question though, 'What the hell is a Saber?'.

My thoughts are cut short by her words "I have been chosen by Gudako to train you and train you I will, when I'm done with you you'll be able to handle any foes especially those fake sabers. So prepare yourself!"[MHX]. After saying that she dashed right at me with her sheathed sword by her side holding it with both hands, she swung it from the right side at a speed that I know I couldn't dodge no matter how wide she swung which forced me to use my shield to block her attack.

Although she attacked suddenly she wasn't as fast as yesterday which allowed me to defend myself, but in exchange I'm currently being thrown in the air by the sheer strength from her blow. Not only am I thrown in the air I'm also spinning due to me trying to deflect her attack by redirecting the sword to the side, after about 5 seconds of spinning in the air I landed on the ground with a grunt. Luckily the worst wound is a few scratches and me being so dizzy I thought the world was spinning.

After about a minute I could stand properly without falling but still a bit dizzy and in front of me is Gudako or is it the legend what was her name again? If I'm not wrong it was X right? Aaah I'll just call her X-sensei. She looked at me with interest as I was trying to stand up earlier but did nothing besides that, as I was wondering why she was looking at me with interest her words clarified "I was a bit amazed by you being able to stand that fast after being spun in the air that strong, ussually people take about 2 minutes to be able to stand without the occasional falls."[MHX]

'Oh, so that's why' as the question is answered she said again "In the first place if you didn't try to deflect my blow you would've been blown into those bushes over there."[MHX] She said while pointing with her fingers to the group of bushes right behind me 'Oh...' as I was trying to think positive her words rang to my ears "My attack earlier was meant to test your reaction speed, not your technique if I wanted to do that HMM!"[MHX] All of the sudden she stopped talking at the same time as her ahoge stood up straight like an antenna, worried about her I opened my mouth wanting to say something but all of the sudden she said "My Altrium Core is suddenly active, which means that."[MHX]

After hearing her words and watching her fall silent, I gulp in worry and anxiety seeing her serious look. After a few seconds she said seriously "There's no mistake, from the reactions of my Altrium core there should be a nearby target, which means that..."[MHX]

Hearing her words made me even more nervous I mean what is it that is near? What could she mean by target? Just as I wanted to ask those questions she suddenly leapt to a direction while yelling "SABER! I won't let anyone of you go even if you ran to a different world."[MHX]

And just like that she ran off while kicking up a looot of dust... Wait this isn't the time for watching her run calmly, as I realized that I ran as fast as I could to catch up to her. Even if I was running as fast as I could I didn't manage to catch up to her the best that I could do was to keep her in my sights.

After about 5 minutes of running I see her jump at a person with her sword raised high for a downward slash while at the same time yelling "Say your prayers Saber!"[MHX]

The person tried to block her sword but is instantly pushed from the force of impact of her sword causing the block to fail and the sword hit cleanly on his head knocking him out. I'd say if it weren't for the fact that Gudako's sword is sheathed he'd already been dead, wait... ISN'T THAT REN AND IS X-SENSEI RAISING HER SWORD AGAIN? HE'LL DIE IF THIS CONTINUES.

When that thought came to mind I instantly ran even faster than I thought I could. I was running while yelling "STOP X-SENSEI HE'LL DIE, HE'LL DIE FOR REAL IF YOU DO THAT."[Naofumi]

Hearing what I said X-sensei stopped raising her sword and looked at me sullenly "And what's wrong with that? I already told you that I'm the one and only TRUE Saber and in that case as a real one it is my duty to remove the fakes, so why are you getting in my way? Unless."[MHX]

Suddenly she stopped and her expression changed to an enlightened one as she clapped her hands and said "OH could it be that you wanted to be the one to hunt this Saber right?"[MHX]

Dumbfounded by what her saying I automatically nodded silently, and before I knew it X-sensei is already in front of me patting my head with a happy smile on her face while saying "Good, good, as expected of my student. Alright, just for you I'll let this saber go so that you can hunt it later okay."[MHX]

Being patted made my mind snap out of the irregularity of the situation, I mean I thought that I needed to drag her away from Ren to stop her or even fight with her. But not this easy! And wait why am I being patted?

As the fact of me being treated as a kid by her came to my head I instantly blushed in shame and a little bit of joy. The shame is from me being treated like a kid, while the joy is that she's being kind to me.

Wait, when is she going to stop patting me...(Pom, pom, pom)... She's not going to stop isn't she? As I am unable to take it further I annoyingly pulled her hand off my head while complaining "Until when are you going to pat my head, until I'm bald?"[Naofumi]

She looked a bit surprised by my actions but she instantly recovered to say apologetically "I'm sorry, it's just that your hair felt like a dog's so that I unkowingly just continued to pat."[MHX]

Her reply made me sweatdrop, I mean my hair is like a dog's how am I supposed to respond to that. I know that my hair is a bit ruffled but a dog's, really?

Being downcast I didn't move so I was carried away by X-sensei... or should I say dragged. And when I noticed it we were already back to the inn, with me being given the death stare by the patrons. Until X-sensei returned to being Gudako again, they all had surprised expression on their faces.

After returning to her form Gudako made her way to the kitchen to cook after greeting Al and his wife. After she entered the kitchen I was instantly swamped by questions from everyone about what just happened with Gudako.

Just as I was in peril facing the multitudes of questions being thrown at me, all of the sudden a big white fluff of fur just jumped on my head out of nowhere while letting out a sound "FOU!"[???(You know who)]

Surprised by the turn of events all of us were dumbfounded and wasn't able to move or make a sound for a few seconds before someone exclaimed "CUTE!" that made the crowd snap out of it and started to pile questions and requests on me about the fluffy creature.

All of the sudden the creature just jumped off my head into the welcoming hands of Gudako who just exited the kitchen, she had a happy and excited smile when she greeted the creature which reminds me, that creature WAS on Gudako's shoulder when we were first summoned.

'She called it Fou if I'm not mistaken.' and her voice rang when I was thinking that saying "Welcome back Fou, did you enjoy you travel for the last 2 days?"[Gudako]

"Fou fo fou purr."[Fou]

"I see, well do you want to eat some food?"[Gudako]

"FOU!"[Fou] It cried out happily before jumping to an empty table and sat there, seeing that Gudako gave a giggle before returning to the kitchen.

Seeing that we all turn to each other before asking to ourselves questions like "How did she understand what Fou is saying?", "What kind of creature is that?", "Can I fluff Fou?".

The discussion ran for a while but stopped when Gudako started to pass out the dishes. And as always Gudako's food is heavenly, but during dinner I was swamped not by questions anymore but encouragement to compete against Fou... Look I know that most people just can't help but love fluffy things especially those that are cute and alive.

But there is the fact that Gudako treats Fou only as a pet if not a friend, hpw am I supposed to lose against that? Even more so, HOW DID THEY COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT I'M AIMING FOR GUDAKO'S HEART? Okay, just calm yourself down me. It's just the effects of the beer that they drunk alongside the steak that Gudako prepared for us. It's not that people REALLY think that way... Hopefully.

Anyways I went straight to bed after that and nothing else happened, so I immediately fell asleep conveniently forgetting about Ren who is currently still knocked out.
