Waiting for something to happen, I closed my eyes. ...
"Um, system, is something wrong?"
[Host, you should look in front of you.]
Hm?
Following the instructions, I saw the small figure of a Ghost in the ground.
That's weird, did it die? I kneeled down to touch it, but it exploded along with me.
---
*Gasp*
I immediately gasped for air as I lifted myself from the ground.
Didn't I blow up?
What happened?
{Hello, Guardian}, said a robotic voice behind me.
Looking toward the voice's direction, I saw the small little Ghost that had blown me up earlier.
{Hello, Guardian, I am your Ghost. Apologies for the little... incident earlier; I couldn't move at all, and when you touched me, the light inside me blew you to pieces. Well, it worked out in the end since it allowed me to revive you as a Guardian.}
Oh yeah, I think you need to die and be revived by a ghost to become a guardian. I guess that it blew me on purpose because of the system.
"It's fine. By the way, can I use Void?"
{Ah, if you mean powers from the light, then yes, you can use the void, but the other ones seem to be locked for now.} The ghost glowed, and a light came out of it.
That light started to condense and flowed straight into me. The power of light seemed to grant me a purple aura around me, which I could only guess was the Void.
I gathered the energy into a ball and tried to imagine it distorting the space around it.
Immediately, everything around me started to slow down as if time had slowed. And it did.
I canceled the ability, making everything around me go back to normal. Heheheh, it wasn't as hard as I thought; I could already make the hunter's time dilation.
It wasn't that hard since I've read a lot on the void power on Wiki. It seems like reading all that theoretical knowledge came in handy.
I still have the other two left to test, but I'll mess around with the gravity and space powers later since I don't want to accidentally make a black hole or crush me and my little brothers via gravity.
"System, show me the sword skills."
[Affirmative, downloading skills into host.]
Knowledge of the sword art immediately started to fill my head: sword stances, footwork, and everything that I needed to know about the sword went inside my head.

[A/N: I will make a separate chapter that will have a detailed description of the sword skills.]
That's a lot of skills, and it's just the one-handed sword skills. Imagine just how many more I will have to master once I go into bow, katana, and rapier.
But besides sword skills, I have also obtained mana and its uses. For example, when you use [vorpal strike], you need to swirl the mana around the sword while you thrust for extra pierce damage.
You also need to change the nature of the mana; another example would be the sword skill [Sonic Leap].
If you change the mana nature to wind, your speed will greatly increase, causing the charged downward slash to be faster when you jump towards the target.
Each nature that you change to will also have a different effect.
-Wind: faster strikes and speed of oneself
-Water: faster flow between strikes, is better used for sword skills that require multiple hits to perform.
-Fire: significant high increases in attack power
-Earth: increased defense
-Ice: causes over time damage to enemies and slows enemies down.
-Lightning: increases pierce and stagger, should be used for parries and guard-breaking
-Darkness: Makes it hard for opponents to perceive attacks and skills you perform
-Light: Increases accuracy and effectiveness of attack skills and elements used. Best used when using multiple mana natures in a sword skill.
For now, I can only use one element at a time when using a sword skill, but I'm sure I'll be able to use multiple mana natures when I increase my mastery.
Anyway, now that I have them all, I think it's time to check on my brothers.
---
-POV 3rd person-
After Francis finished getting ready and obtaining all the system benefits, he went around the big tree and walked straight into the clearing his other two brothers agreed to meet up after checking out their system.
Sitting on a rock, Francis finally saw two different figures coming his way.
One was covered in black tactical gear and had an R301 in hand, while the other had light armor, a bow and shield on his back, a blue sword on his waist, and a new mechanical-looking arm.
"Dam Francis, looking fresh with that gun on your leg holster, though it isn't as good as my R301," said Angel smugly as he was covered in tactical gear.
"You really are dumb, Angel. Well, I can't blame you since all you play is Call of Duty and Apex Legends. That gun and bow could beat that R301 easily. The only thing you have the upper hand on is in fire rate," said Alex sarcastically.
Angel wanted to retort to his claim, but he couldn't.
Although he liked playing gun games, he had never played Destiny.
And considering the bullshit powers that are in the game, he wouldn't doubt if the gun had aimbot or could spit out fire.
Francis chuckled, seeing their argument.
It's been about an hour since they've been stranded in this weird forest. So seeing them argue like always kept his mind away from the fact that he didn't know where the hell they even were.
"Alright, alright, stop arguing. Sit down, I think it's time to talk about our new abilities," said Francis as the other nodded and sat down on the ground.
"Alright, I will go first. My system focuses on abilities from the Zelda games. It gave me some basic armor, arrows, bow, shield, and the Master Sword, surprisingly," he said with a smile. He soon drew the blade and showed it in all its glory.
"The sword has the ability to vanquish evil, destroy magical barriers, and break curses. I also got the Ultrahand; it has many abilities, but the only one that is unsealed is 'recall'. I can rewind time for an item or person but only for 5 seconds. I'm sure I can rewind more once my mastery goes up more."
Both Angel and Francis were impressed at the abilities that Alex had obtained, such skills. Angel knew absolutely nothing about Zelda, but what he did know was that turning back time is pretty OP.
On the other hand, Francis wasn't really surprised at the abilities since he knew about them. But was surprised that he obtained the Master Sword and recall at such an early stage. Alex then sat down, and Angel got up as he presented his abilities.
"My system is the Soldier system, meaning that it can provide me guns and equipment that a Soldier would have. But it doesn't only limit to modern but to guns from videogames like Apex," Angel then pointed at the R301 that he had at hand.
"I bet that I could also get stuff from Halo and shit like that, but I haven't confirmed that theory yet. And besides that, I have another ability."
Angel then aimed his R301 and shot at a tree. As the bullet closed into the tree and made impact, ice was created, completely surrounding the tree.
Both Alex and Francis were surprised that the bullet exploded causing ice to appear.
"I can enchant any kind of ammo, giving it elemental properties. That was a bullet enchanted with an ice attribute; I would use it for creating ice platforms on walls or immobilizing enemies, but it takes up mana. I also need mana to create another mag for the gun I'm using, though the cost is low depending on the gun," explained Angel.
"Oh yeah, I forgot about this too." Angel reached into his and took out a sheathed sword with a white handle. Alex didn't know what it was, but Francis sure as hell did.
"You got fucking Yamato." Yamato could quite literally cut through anything including space; well, not cutting but separation. So he was jealous that a person like Angel got such a weapon.
Francis was a hundred percent sure that Angel would never use it and instead use the guns.
The only reason Angel was watching the DMC 5 campaign before they died was that a friend recommended it. If that friend hadn't done that, Angel wouldn't have watched the thing at all.
With puppy eyes, he asked, "Hey Angel could you maybe, perhaps, I don't know... give me the sword." Angel narrowed his eyes down on Francis, but then grinned and said,
"Alright, but the next legendary Assault Rifle you get will be mine." Angel could have taken his Bow or Hand cannon, but he was more of an AR type of guy.
Francis smiled widely and said, "You got yourself a deal!" Both Angel and Francis shook hands, reaffirming their deal.
Angel then handed over Yamato to the drooling Francis. "Hehehe, my precious!" he immediately hung the sword on his right waist now making him completely armed and ready.
And it was even better that Angel said he wanted a 'legendary' weapon because the highest rarity is Exotic in destiny, a rarity higher than legendary. in other words, he's not giving him the super rare gun he's thinking that he will get.
At most he'll probably get a second grade gun, just like he asked~
'I should probably get the Dual-Wield sword arts when I master the one-handed sword arts,' thought Francis.
Angel then sat down, and let Francis take the stage. "I blew up."
"..." (Angel, Alex)
