"Talon, we need to act quickly," said a man, one of the team members assigned to guard that night.
Talon stood still, his gaze fixed on the roaring fire that danced before him.
His mind raced, searching for the best way to extinguish the flames.
He knew that a hasty action could backfire, making the situation worse instead of better.
"Do we still have a reserve of water?" he asked, his voice steady despite the growing tension.
The fire hadn't yet grown too large, thanks to the bamboo they used—some of it still damp, some dry.
"Yes, we do," the man replied, glancing nervously at the fire. "But if we use it now, Talon, we'll run out of our water reserves."
"That doesn't matter right now," Talon responded.
His focus was solely on finding the most effective way to stop the fire from spreading further.
