35: The Paragon of west and An Absolute Monster Void Middletown

The Case was changing its tide and there were people aside from Queen Michelle who were getting amusement from it.

"Void Middletown, I didn't know my enemy was harboring such a delicious and precious chocolate boy!" Meisheng Shen, a wolf cultivator who had been a tough opponent to Maria for seven years, said, playing with her brown messy strand of hair while taking a sip of her Baijiu. Her honey-like eyes locked on Void.

"Hmph! Finally, after decades, I found a man with the same demeanor as my foster father, haha!" Anette Phantomhive, another enemy of Maria and a sworn enemy of Meisheng Shen, said, enjoying the show while eating her meat. She sat with one leg on the seat and the other down, her one eye patched and scarred, her other vine-red eye locked on Void. Her short burgundy hair framed her face, contrasting with her dark blue gothic suit-like attire.

Both Anette and Meisheng looked at each other, wanting to fight, but they knew the place and time were not right, so they refrained. Anyways, let's get back to Void…

"It was an accident, your majesty!" Void said, turning towards the throne to face the Queen.

"What do you mean it was an accident? Do you understand you were about to kill the future of the kingdom!" King Augustus exclaimed, at which the queen narrowed her eyes, signaling King Augustus to calm down and maintain his composure.

"I understand that fact very well, but I never intended to attack or hurt his highness, nor did I intend to hurt Leonard Calvados and Samuel Tristella!" Void said. "I changed the direction of the hailstorm from the entire northern empire to only Miss Shuri, to protect everyone and punish the one who misuses their power!" His gaze turned towards Shuri, then back to King Augustus.

"But unfortunately, His Highness and Mr. Leonard and Samuel came to shield her and saved her from dying in it. They got injured protecting a false knight, not because of me, your majesty!" Void said, turning his gaze to Queen Michelle.

"And about the future of the country, your majesty, if the hailstorm's direction wasn't changed, maybe except for the knights, everyone in the entire northern empire might have faced a catastrophe! And that would've brought shame to Allainette!" Void said, at which King Augustus himself fell silent, realizing the state Void was in.

Everyone at court fell silent; all those whispers and murmurs stopped. There were only eyes looking at Void with awe, jaws dropped at the bravery of a 17-year-old boy.

"Looking at the proof presented by Mr. Void, and realizing the deep mistake made by the guardians of the country, this court suspends Shuri Lux for three months, and her rank will be taken down!" Queen Michelle said, her words carrying their weight.

"And this court gives the title of The Paragon of the West to Void Middletown, seeing his bravery, intelligence, righteous nature, and the courage to stand for justice! The country will consider Void Middletown an important asset! The court is dismissed!"

Void bowed to Queen Michelle. "I guess now I can go back and have a peaceful time alone, hehe," he thought. Everyone in the court started leaving.

"Stay safe, my chocolate boy! You're mine!" Meisheng Shen left with a smile tugged on her face. "I guess I have to make a new alliance now, hmmn," Anette murmured while leaving.

Void was going to leave too, but he was picked up by two people and brought to a room where Queen Alainette, King Augustus standing behind her, Maria sitting beside the Queen, and Betty and Fiola sitting together. Aside from them, Prince Charles, Rubianna, and Samuel were there too.

As Void was brought there, Rubianna charged to slap him, but before she could, Prince Charles' little sister, Queen Alainette's third husband's daughter, Luna Alainette, hugged Void tightly.

"Mr. Void! I saw you doing bam! Bash! Slash! With brother Char! Sam! and Leo!" She said, snuggling into Void's arms. "I'm…very…glad…there's someone in this world who thinks I did some…cool stuff, hehe… Aww-ch!" Void said, as his injuries were still tender and Luna's snuggling aggravated them.

"Luna dear, please come here. Void is still injured, and he is on the verge of collapsing. Please go after he takes his medications," Queen Michelle said. Hearing that, Luna stepped back. "Are you still hurt?" she asked.

"Yeah! Just let me take my medications, and after that, you can come hug me. Just don't overdo it, hehe," Void said, walking towards Maria. Maria quickly reached Void and helped him take a seat.

"Just because Void didn't want to break the law, that brat is alive today. Or else I would've peeled her skin!" Maria said. The doctors who were brought to check Void's condition started working.

"I know, Rubianna, you're angry over what Void did, but it was a mistake of Charles. He brought it on himself, right?" Michelle said, seeing that Rubianna seemed angry.

"So, Miss Maria, if everything is settled, I have an offer for you," Michelle said, at which Maria turned, tweaking her brows. "Huh! What is it? Blurt it out already," Maria said, her tone shifting from warm maternal to cruel ruthless Mafia lord.

"Give me your child!" Michelle said.

"No thanks," Maria immediately responded. "I'll give you whatever you want, but don't ask me for this one thing," Maria said, caressing Void after the doctors tended to him and left.

"I see a big no. Anyways, aren't you planning to take him to the top rank?" Michelle said, at which everybody was stunned.

"Void is trying to reach the grandmaster title?" everyone aside from Michelle, Maria, and Void said in unison.

"Didn't I tell you to hide this, you block-headed bitch, huh!" Maria said, summoning her gauntlet but then retracting it. "But yeah, that's what I've currently decided, seeing the strength and the way Void is growing. During these academy years, I guess he'll reach the Master rank1 at least, which will help him marry those five girls!" Maria said while changing Void's clothes.

"Five girls! Who are these shameless girls ready to marry a man like that?" Rubianna muttered, at which everyone started laughing except Charles and Samuel. "What is funny about this, you all?" Charles asked.

"Brother Char, idiot!" Luna teased Charles while sitting on Void's lap. "Miss Aoi Takahashi, the ice princess; Zoe Lunaria, the Queen of the Abyss; Cassey Heart, the personal knight of Miss Rubianna; Arcane, his maid; and lastly, I, the second princess, the Catastrophe and glittering diamond of Allainette, Luna Alainette! are the girls behind Brother Void!"

"Hehehe! Yeah, yeah! Wait, when did she join those four? I already had a hard time handling all four of them!" Void said, at which everybody present in the room started laughing.

"Well, suit yourself, Paragon of the West, Void Middletown. I'm glad you played well to remove yourself from the mess created by Shuri!"

The night before Void's trial...

"Void Middletown, why do you think I'm here?" Michelle asked from outside the cell where Void was.

"Because my letter reached you, and seeing the clip, you know that if I just expose tomorrow the way the so-called Royal Knight acts, maybe the whole country will turn upside down and many political issues may rise, hehe! Right, Your Majesty?" Void said. "By the way, just put some lights on the way at least. I can't see anything here, you know. I feel like a blind person here!"

"Shall we have a bit of negotiation here, Mr. Void?" Michelle said.

"I'll try to mislead a bit of the story of the case of Winter Frost, and in this case, just stay silent until I make sense. I won't spread the extra; you give the correct judgment, and I won't spill my tea!" Void said.

That 17-year-old lad threatened me with exposing the most hidden files, hidden deals, of my country to the whole world… And I bet he'll change the tide of debate. Even if he doesn't, he will make the winds change their direction! That's right; after all, that's who he is: an absolute monster!
