Koby broke the silence of the castle and asked, "What power do you speak of, Prince Quincy?"
"Koby, you... you can call me Yvall. I simply don't mind," Yvall replied.
"Oh..." said Koby timidly. "Kobe, you'd like to know what I'm asking for from my father?" Yvall questioned.
"Of course, Prince. Your father has the... power to bring May back?" Koby asked in astonishment.
"My father is a collector, Koby. He collects all manner of objects such as gold, fine clothing, jewels, and pearls and such. But my father, King Quincy, came into possession of an object I've had to keep secret since I was 6. An object that any rival of his would kill to obtain," Yvall explained.
"Prince, I mean no disrespect, but I'd like to know what power this object has?" Koby asked.
"Koby, I know you mean no harm to me, the king, or this kingdom. If you were to be a spy, I'd be amazed at your dedication all these years," Yvall smiled through tears as he explained. "My father has had me keep the secret of that power for years, but Koby, for your years of dedication to this family and my sister, I will tell you," Yvall continued. "Thank you, Prince Quincy," Koby said in gratitude.
"My father is cruel and heartless. I don't feel I should be following his orders of secrecy anyway," Yvall said in defiance.
Yvall paused and sighed deeply, closing his eyes for a moment. He looked at Kobe and said, "My father came into possession of an eye 12 years ago. The eye belonged to a mythical goliath that had achieved a state of enlightenment, a state in which the lines between life and death were blurred, and he achieved immortality. His eye was taken from him while he slept, by my father. If you were to replace your eye with the mythical eye of this goliath, his power of immortality would be yours." Kobe's eyes were filled with astonishment, his jaw hanging open.
"Is this really true, Prince? Such a divine power exists?!" Kobe exclaimed.
"Yes, Kobe. The only problem is my father intends to use this power on himself or me. Whichever one of us perishes first is set to be revived and gain this power," said Yvall.
