33. Engagement 2

"Now you are getting married. You should mellow down your temper". Hippolyta got in her quarters and made Diana sit in front of her.

"Yes mother". Diana didn't argue this time and agreed to the words with her head down.

"This is the reason, why you haven't been married till now". Hippolyta said calmly as she opened some old wounds.

"Mother". Diana tried to protest again when she heard Hypolitta's words.

"You will listen obediently". Hippolyta said with a glare that made Diana shut up.

"Now that a partner has come to carry on your lineage. Won't you just scare him away with you acts? He is an excellent young man. Although we hate men but even we need to find out partners to mate and form our lineage". Hippolyta slowly said as she sipped some water on her table.

Hippolyta went on a long sermon as she made Diana to everything she said obediently. Diana had no room for objection or rebellion.

Diana was exhausted as it came to night time when the sermon finished. Diana made her way back to Alex's little hut on the outskirts.

As soon as she opened the door, she smelled the mouthwatering smell again and immediately became energised.

"Welcome back". Alex said with a smug smile when Diana returned.

"Hmph". Diana just folded her arms below her chest and turned her head to the side.

"Mother-in-Law sure loves me huh". Alex teased further as he wasn't going to let the matter rest easily.

"You!" Diana was enraged as she pointed at Alex with her fully stretched. Her face was red as blood rushed to her head.

She pounced on him but Alex dodged and stuffed her mouth with a delicious piece of meat. The aroma exploded in her mouth and she had a foodgasm, shokugeki style.

"Ahn~". She moaned as the juices exploded in her mouth and she was pacified at once.

'Using Hamon to tenderise the meat and contain the flavours was good choice'. Alex touched his chin and thought when he saw Diana's reaction.

Diana was on cloud nine as she ate the meat greedily. After that bite, she looked at the meat with bloodshot eyes.

"Meat". Diana said like a zombie with eyes devoid of any other emotions.

"What are you, a Zombie. Go sit down and I will bring the food soon". Alex swatted away her hand and pointed towards the table.

Diana hung her head down and obediently went back to the seat. 'I am taking a lot of lectures today for some reason'. Diana thought as she sat down dejectedly but then she thought about the cause and she felt like biting Alex.

As soon as Alex set down the plates and the food. Diana began to gorge it down her throat without waiting for Alex to sit down.

Alex had to literally fight for his food as Diana was hell bent on finishing it all and not giving anything to him to eat.

After a good round of fighting for food. They both sat down on the couch but Diana was still upset and didn't talk to Alex.

"Are you still angry?" Alex asked as he slowly shifted towards her.

"Hmph, you framed me for no reason". Diana snorted as she turned head the other way.

"But it was fun". Alex laughed cheekily as he was inching closer to her.

"It wasn't fun for me". Diana closed her eyes as she tilted her head up in indignation.

"Is that so. Then withstand this attack". Alex said as he pounced on her and started tickling her.

"S-stop, *wheeze* stop". Diana tried to talk in between her laughter and breaths.

Alex didn't let as he sat down on her and kept on tickling her without stop. Diana had tears in her eyes from all the laughter.

"Are you still angry?" Alex smiled as he asked.

"Hmph". Diana snorted and immediately retaliated as she sat down on Alex and started to tickle him as well.

Alex didn't stop this sense of his for her to appease her anger. So he was mercilessly tickled by her as he also got out of breath.

They fought against each other for a bit more as they flipped and tickled each other. After a couple of fierce rounds, they were sweating and sitting silently on the couch.

Diana had her head leaning on Alex's shoulder as she was in deep thought. "When are you leaving?" She asked.

Alex was a bit startled as she bought this out of the blue but he quickly answered back. "What bought this so suddenly?" He asked.

"Just want to be prepared". Diana answered back normally but there was some reluctance and sadness in her eyes.

"I don't know, it could be right after engagement or I could take some time". Alex answered unsurely as he shook his head.

"Don't be sad, it's just a short time and we will be back together when I come to take you with me officially". Alex said as he smiled and stroked her soft black hair.

"I know but it will be lonely". She answered as she slowly closed her eyes.

"Don't worry, it will pass before you know it". He said as he rested his head on hers.

They stayed like that for a while in each other's warmth and silent company without a single word from either person.

"Our Engagement will be at the end of this week". Diana said in a low and serene voice but her happiness couldn't be concealed.

"Yeah". Alex nodded as he just kept resting his head on hers.

"Are you excited?" She asked without moving.

"Of course, who wouldn't be". He answered back with a smile. Diana also smiled as his response and went silent.

"Let's take a bath and sleep. I am feeling a bit sticky from all the activity today". Alex said as he prepared to stand up.

"Yeah". Diana also nodded as she stood up to go to the Bathroom.

They took a bath together without doing anything excessive except Alex getting a few kisses from Diana to appease himself.

After the Bath, Alex went to Bed as Diana put her head on the left side of his chest and slept while listening to his heartbeat.

Alex also surrounded her with his arms and slept comfortably with her soft and Warm body on top of him.
