"Why are you here?" I snarl at him, the anger and pain I feel coming out to lash at him.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" he retorts, with a raised eyebrow.
"This is my pack! I have the right to walk anywhere I want to. You do not."
"Do you also have the right to watch your Alpha while he is dancing the horizontal tango with his mate?"
"I wasn't watching. I didn't mean to. I came to see him, to discuss something with him."
"At past three in the morning?" he asks with a disbelieving stare.
"You know what?" I snarl as I walk past him. "I don't have to explain myself to you."
"You have no idea how this looks, do you?" he asks as he falls in step with me. "You peeking at the two of them? I was told that you are one of the pillars of this pack. Wise, discerning, always putting the pack first. I have to say I don't see it."
