Gear up because it's literal Hell on Earth. [ Author here! If you guys are enjoying the series, please feel free to vote for this work with your powerstones and tickets! This will allow me to publish even more chapters, do special events, and let me know you guys are enjoying it! Also, there is more of a stat involved part of the system that has been introduced in the later chapters(63). Experience isn't visibly tracked until this point - up until then it is still gathered and slayers do grow slightly stronger from fights, but there's no way of knowing how much has been gained until the chapter it's introduced.]

Pressed for Time

Gray tried several more tries to reach Steven or Calvin, but no one picked up.

"Damn it!" Gray said slinging the walkie across the room. "We shouldn't have taken this big of a risk. Now we're entering worst case scenario." He said, clearly aiming his words at Axel and Iris.

"What's the big deal? We just head Northeast until we can pick up Steve's energy. Orrr if it's a base, I'm sure there will be plenty of them to sense."

Iris wasn't quite sure where she stood on this one. Axel was right - Calvin completed his job and they had a rough idea of where they're hiding out. But the fact that Calvin was discovered changed quite a bit.

Lucius seemed to be the one taking it the hardest. He stared down into the floor with his head in his hands.

"I'm so sorry Calvin....you volunteered, but I shouldn't have sent you."
