Every course has its own room as a section of our digital classroom. Sir Karlson also said that lots of resources, including readings, images, and recorded teaching sessions will be stored in the course room as well, even the one that'll be held face to face.
Now that the time had set to 800 hrs, the entire class 1 entered our biology I course room. A list of our names started popping out at the right side of the screen, along with the face recorded by our tablet's camera.
I just witness my classmates from a very weird angle. Even someone as alluring as Chiya and the Hyakra (Light tribe) girl looked incredibly bizarre.
I turned my face toward the ashen lady to compare how she was from my view and the camera. She giggled glaring at how bizarre my face was looking back to back at her then the screen.
*Snap!*
The lady then summoned a bunch of chains with them attached into her tiny dimensional gates. Each of them wrapped tight to the sides of her tablets to angle them so the camera catches her from the higher view.
I once more looked onto the screen, and god knows how surprised I was by how much it affected the sight of her midnight beauty.
"Morning everyone!" Suddenly a melody of adorability filled Revian's room. It was coming from our tablet, and I saw our teacher has shown herself in the course room.
Petite child-like body, dazzling peach eyes, and fluttering hair the shade of cherry blossom, she is clearly a Sarma. And looking at her wide smile, small nose, and chubby face, I could easily recognize her.
She's called Ara the Progidy. One and only Sarma who's really smart with intelligence rivaling not just a Shaper, but also a Scientist.
"I'm Mrs. Ara Kalpataru or Ara Esel (her husband is a Dubalang). And now… we have arrived at the time for some intimate session with the beauty of life." You could hear her intellect by how fluent she talked. Unlike Mrs. Senaria.
"Today's topic is about Keeper. Specifically, the one you'll be visiting~" She was so cheerful, running around with her marker, writing on our class whiteboard. Yea… our classroom at the Academy, to be exact, the Lecture Hall. A camera was probably placed at the place where that Fui Malianis girl used to sit.
"Just like Sarma, Kaoma is a plant that originated from a Sacred Tree. Named, the Chaos Tree, or Wendira." She began to draw illustrations of both the Tree of Life and Chaos Tree, under each of them is a unique-looking round fruit.
"Currently there are three types of Sarma. Nu Manah— my kind— is born from this fruit and this fruit only, we're exclusively the child of Tree of Life and Goddess of Life." The Progidy wrote Nu Manah under the fruit in neat cursive, then pulled a line straight under it.
"Yet despite that, Nu Manah is a universal breeder, which means we will give birth to a baby following the father's genetic. Unless it's under a special occasion, in the time where Tree of Life doing its reincarnation, then a hybrid will be born, namely, Raksaka." She drew and wrote Raksaka under that line in the form of a baby. It was a really good drawing I'm not gonna lie.
"And the last type is the Mojang Maung." Another fruit was drawn beside the Nu Manah fruit, meaning it's also created by the Tree of Life. Mojang Maung's fruit looked a bit like pineapple, with the leaves resembling cat ears.
"Mojang Maung's fruit didn't come straight from the Tree of Life, but from the smaller trees that grew on its roots. They can be harvested every reincarnation, compared to Nu Manah which only once every three reincarnations." With Mojang Maung written, she's done with the Sarma and made her way to the Chaos Tree side.
"Alright, let's speak about our natives who you'll be visiting on today's journey." The Prodigy began her explanation, without touching the board. "The Chaos Tree rules the entire Island of Kaput, but, it no longer created any Keeper. It provides them with a reproduction system similar to humans, yet also still plant-like."
Mrs. Ara drew another fruit under the Chaos Tree and immediately circle it after. "We'll focus on Keeper for today, you can ask more about Uhndak in the Monster I tomorrow."
"Kaoma is a really unique species, even among all living beings in the New World. They are still plants, so their mating is called pollination, yet the process is highly similar to how humans mate."
"However, instead of giving birth to a baby, they'll give birth to seeds, which they later planted in their garden."
"These seeds will grow into a flower, and slowly metamorph into humanoid shape just like how jellyfish did it, but on land."
The Prodigy began to draw how the Kaoma flower look to perfection. "So, please… if you encounter any of these flowers, don't disrespect them. They hold similar value to a child."
The entirety of the archstudent variedly nodded, showing the sign of understanding.
"Good. Then let us move to the adults."
"Sarma and Kaoma alike, both of the Keeper eat to sustain themselves. Even though the two Keepers still photosynthesize under the daylight, we still need food since we're a lot more active than the more conventional plants."
She drew the whole anatomy of Sarma and Kaoma at a very interesting speed. I thought only Painter can draw that fast and detailed.
Their hair serves just like leaves in plants, which means they photosynthesize through it. None of the chlorophyll is green though, since they are affected by the elements.
The Keeper's bones are really complex, they also contain things that tree trunks have. However, the area covered by meat and muscle fully resembles an animal.
"Sarma is a full pledge vegetarian, both by oath and by design. Meanwhile, Kaoma is an omnivores, they are highly capable of eating human foods created by the Iska. They still have their own preference nevertheless."
Looking at the digestive systems, Sarma is a lot similar to a deer (ruminant), and Kaoma to a human. If that confused you, just know that Sarma's cecum is a lot larger than Kaoma's, and they have multiple stomachs.
"With that said, here's your first mission, and it'll be from me. Find the local diet of the Kaoma working at the place you'll be staying, and correlate it with how they perform their daily duties."
"Your deadline is two weeks, and feel free to consult it with me when you're back at the Academy~"
