The town was bustling; noise from every nook and cranny. "Not the most welcome scene", Aeger thought to himself. After all, he was the progenitor of all those sects that everyone was talking about. He looked at himself; he looked like a thirteen-year-old boy, or rather a young adult.
"Interesting", he mused. The restrictions that God put on those of heaven applied to him as well, albeit not completely. It would take a few years to regain all his might. He went around the town, looking at stores, people and how the development took place. Human advancement always interested him. He needed a change of clothes of course. But he lacked the money. To gain that valuable commodity, you had to do physical labour or hunt in the forest outside the walls.
Considering Aeger's noble status, he chose the latter. Although he was drained of his power, he had enough to take care of wild animals. He approached the town gates when he was stopped by a guard who asked, "Hey kid, who are you? I never saw you around here. The forest is out of bounds for children You'll die. Didn't your parents tell you?"
Not wanting trouble, Aeger requested that the guards allow him outside just once. Weaving a tale of how he had to get herbs for his sick father, he was allowed to pass just this once.
"Remember, the gates close at nine. You will not be able to survive the night. Come back as fast as possible", the guard warned. Aeger nodded, approving of the guard's kind words.
He quickly went deep into the thicket, hoping to chance upon some game. He rounded up a few rabbits and a deer with clever traps and was planning on returning, seeing as it was already six. But then something caught his eye. A beautiful tree with ripe fruit for the taking. What was special was that Aeger had recognized what the fruit was. For a celestial being to know a fruit just signified the fruit's value. This fruit was a panacea, one very useful to recover his cultivation.
