chapter 27 chaos pt 2

As I reviewed my stats, I continued walking toward the beacon with steady steps. I closed my eyes and deactivated my chaossite so I would not strain my eyes. I made some small talk with Lexi as I made my journey in a slow, steady space. The only things that I saw were the rabbits.

Shaking my head, my stomach churned at thinking of what they truly looked like. This realm has been a blessing for some improvements in my understanding of chaos. Suddenly I heard a roar that shook the entire forest area. The small creatures are running for their lives. My hands were shaking. I did not know if it was for excitement or fear but I really wanted to see what this new creature was.

I slinked into the bushes and kept on tracing my way toward the noise and rumbling. When I got closer to the rumbling, I saw a medium-sized bear. Taking a deep breath, I summoned my dagger and charged at it, taking a quick swipe. The bear roared and it sounded as if my dagger collided with metal.

Backing off I sent chaos energy into my eyes to get a true look at the creature. That is when I saw a black shadow hunched over. One arm was shaped like a spear the other was sharp like a sword. I should really look at these monsters true form before starting a fight.

Clashing with his sword was easy but the quick thrust of the other arm was harder to dodge. I was able to keep up with relative ease with my increased strength but I was not putting out much damage.

[Mommy they are made out of chaos. Try coating your weapon with chaos energy or using magic. They are not like the little ones who allow you to just absorb them.] Nodding my head in understanding, I started to coat my dagger with chaos energy. My cuts were making deeper cuts as time went on.

After a prolonged battle, I managed to slay the chaos monster. Its body dissolving into pure energy before shooting towards me strengthing my own understanding of chaos. Closing my eyes I wondered about Apael and how she was doing. It got harder being far away from her but I needed to gain power so that I could dominate anything that was thrown at me.

Continuing my journey toward the beacon was pretty uneventful. I would run into a chaos monster here and there but nothing too strong. It seemed like they started to avoid me as if they were testing my strength.

Making camp for the night I decided to make clothes with the fiber from the plant's true form. That is when I got the best idea. If I could also infuse my chaos into it could I change the way it looked for others? My face got flushed thinking of how I could make it look provocative to Apael but conservative to others.

Getting lost in the heat of the moment, I spent the entire night making my new outfit. When I was done I had a flexible mini skirt with a tank top that showed off my toned stomach. I even managed to make a nice pair of underwear to go with it.

Now if it worked Apael should see the outfit like I had it but others would see me in long pants with a large coat that would "hide" my weapons. As long as they did not have a chaossite that is stronger than my understanding, they should not see through my real appearance.

Letting out a yawn I decided to take a quick nap and get going when it was around noon. Finally after a week more of travel I could see the beacon leading down into a cabin that looked old but gave me a nostalgic feeling. Making my way to the door I gently pushed it open looking around.

As soon as the door opened lights came on showing me a simple living room with books and a journal on the desk. Waiting to do any reading I decided to explore the rest of the house first. There were three rooms with a letter carved into them. The letters were K, R, and B.

I decided to check out the room with the B first and as I entered, it looked bare. There was a bed and dead flowers. It gave a peaceful feeling as if a monk lived there. It had a bathroom and nothing out of the ordinary not even a book in the room. The room gave off a lonely vibe as if it was lost to the ages.

My heart felt a bit of pain but I could not point out where the feeling was coming from. Next, I went to the room with the R. As I opened the door I was hit with a thick smell of blood—a faint hint of killing intent radiating the room. There were blades rusted from blood hanging on the wall with names of beasts that they were used to kill. Shivers went down my spine from thinking of all the creatures these blades killed.

I approached the bed and it looked as if someone slept in it recently. It was even somewhat warm as if I could feel that a person was there recently. My heart sped up and I went to check the bathroom my hand on my dagger just in case. As I opened the door, I saw a black room with dead animals hanging over the tub with blood drained. I felt somewhat angry but could not figure out why.

Lastly, I went into the room with the K on it. As I entered, it made me feel happy and at ease. There was a soft sweet scent in the room as if perfume was just sprayed recently. Next to the giant bed there were two baby rockers, one with a B and one with an R. If I had to guess it seemed like a family home.

Letting out a sigh I went back out into the living room. I grabbed the journal on the desk and decided to start reading it. Maybe I could start to get some answers.
