Chapter 44: Defeated and Subdued

Gu Yining quickly typed her reply into the chat.

[Lemon Not So Cute]: "Are you here to derail the conversation? Come on, explain to big sis where this impressive photo came from!"

[Coffee No Sugar]: "Weighing in at 200 pounds, what do you think? Impressive, right?"

[Lemon Not So Cute]: "... Yes, it's definitely impressive."

Ding! Another photo appeared, this time a GIF.

[Xiao Xiao Not Dating]: "Mine is the most impressive, no one can compete!"

In the image, taken in a living room, a small brown teddy bear was seen with its front paws gripping a cat, while its body was awkwardly positioned on the cat's rear end, appearing to be... well, engaging in some rather suggestive behavior.

The teddy's ridiculous name was "Tai Ri Tian," a title that wasn't entirely unfounded given its antics.

Shortly after, several more GIFs popped up in the chat, all featuring the same teddy bear and its peculiar objects of affection—an array of sofas, stuffed toys, and even the owner's own legs, each scene more outrageous than the last.

This was undoubtedly an impressive spectacle.

[Lemon Not So Cute]: "Awarding the title of 'Best Muscle Man of the Year' to this teddy!"

Her comment was directed at the plush toy.

[Superman Won't Fly]: "+1."

[Coffee No Sugar]: "+2. Our photos are nothing compared to this; I concede!"

Having initiated the 100,000 reward post, Gu Yining downloaded all the ridiculous photos, transferring them into her Photoshop software.

About an hour later, she emerged from the internet café with a satisfied grin plastered across her face.

At that moment, the Ling City University forum was once again buzzing with excitement.

The same forum ID that had posted the scandalous news about Gu Yining and the senior, An Yang, a week ago, was back at it with new content. 

This time, however, the spotlight was on the second daughter of the Gu family, Gu Wenxuan. 

Her face had been meticulously superimposed onto the infamous photo with An Yang, replacing Gu Yining's. The editing was so flawless that only a professional could tell that the woman in the picture was actually Gu Wenxuan from the chemistry department and not Gu Yining from the computer science department.

But that wasn't all that the forum featured.

Several other equally scandalous images had also been circulated.

Photos of Gu Wenxuan with muscular men in compromising positions. 

Pictures of her with a middle-aged man sporting a massive beer belly. 

And another featuring Gu Wenxuan in an exaggeratedly risqué pose with a teddy bear.

All the images were so expertly edited that they could easily deceive anyone.

Accompanying the images was a lengthy critique of Gu Wenxuan, which painted her in a rather unflattering light. The general tone of the article accused her of being promiscuous, indiscriminately accepting all kinds of men, and being a "siren" of sorts.

Upon seeing the post, Gu Wenxuan nearly fainted from rage.

"Who did this? Who is responsible?" she yelled, slamming her phone down on her desk as she shot up from her seat in the classroom.

The account that had posted this scandalous content was one she had purchased to frame Gu Yining. She had long abandoned that account, so who had revived it and used it to post such ridiculous lies?

Around her, almost every student was glued to their phones, laughing and sharing the post, relishing the spectacle of the photos and the witty comments that accompanied them.

The air was thick with mockery, and no one seemed to believe that the rumors of Gu Yining and An Yang were true anymore.

If Gu Wenxuan were to argue that the photos were fake, it would only serve to defend Gu Yining.

Furious and humiliated, Gu Wenxuan stormed out of the classroom, vowing to hunt down the person responsible for this slander and make them pay dearly.
