"Was there a need to kill him?" Seeing Jun walk back to the participant's area, Nozomi sighed. She knew that Ren was part of his clan, but didn't he go a bit too far?

"What if this angers the mist village?" Al little worried, Minato stared at Kushimaru's corpse bein transported away. Jiraiya had told him about the recent friction between the shinobi villages, so he felt like this was a little overboard.

"Well, he would've never recovered from those burns anyway... I was only going him a favor." Crossing his arms, Jun laid his back against the wall. "Who cares if the mist doesn't like it? At this point, war is inevitable. I can feel it."

Since the war was going to happen anyway, Jun planned on making the most of it. The second shinobi world war would be the stage for his clan, and a skipping stone towards their retribution and eventual ascent to a leading position within the village.

He already knew what he had to do.

Shigeo's voice resounded across the arena once again, Interrupting his thoughts. "Namikaze Minato vs. Hyuga Nozomi! Both contestants, please make your way down to the arena!"

Hearing this statement, Jun raised an eyebrow, smiling in an interested manner. Finally, a match that he was willing to watch.

"Minato..." Nozomi felt like she had already lost, but did not want to give up. Certainly Not after she'd come this far.

"Let's have a good match!" Smiling, Minato walked down to the arena. Although he was going to fight Nozomi, this was just another challenge to him. He wouldn't back down.

"Yeah...!" Determined, Nozomi followed the blondie downstairs until they were just a few feet apart, ready to fight.

"Begin!" Hearing Shigeo's words, Nozomi immediately activated her Byakugana and got into the gentle fist stance.

Taking out a kunai, Minato flickered and reappeared behind her, aiming at her neck.

"Hakkeshō Kaiten!" Using her new move, Nozomi spun rapidly, forming a large chakra dome around her.

Noticing the imminent danger, Minato flickered away, narrowly avoiding the technique. Reappearing a few meters away, he narrowed his eyes.

"If you get within my range, I won't let you attack!" This was her only card. Nozomi lost on every front against Minato, be it taijutsu or ninjutsu. Therefore, she had to be defensive.

'If I can catch him when he least expects it...' Focusing on Minato's figure, the veins around Nozomi's eyes protruded even farther. 'That'll be my chance...!'

"Good decision..." Nodding his head in praise, Jun still had his arms crossed. Even in this situation, Nozomi had the clarity to gauge her opponent's strength and come up with a plan against him. "To think that she already has that move down..."

Apparently, she had gotten it down in the while after her match. It wasn't a difficult technique to learn, but Jun was nonetheless impressed by her observational skills. Fitting for a bookworm.

------ "How can she use that!" Gnashing his teeth the Hyuga clan head refused to believe what was happening. He knew Nozomi wasn't this much of a genius, so what could've happened!? It would make him drop the novel- Ahem. Fight altogether if this continued! But the Author-Ahem! Excuse me- The world didn't seem to care! ------

Now, Minato had to get close to her, but every time he did, he would enter her range. Sneaking wasn't an option either, considering the Byakugan's perfect peripheric vision.

Through this, she had now gained the upper hand against a stronger enemy. Jun even felt like clapping a little.

'That Nozomi... I admit that she's got me cornered.' Smiling, Minato studied his opponent. He knew the Byakugan well and was aware of its peripheric vision. Even so, he had come prepared.

Raising his kunai, he flickered once again, reappearing behind Nozomi.

'There!' Getting into the eight trigrams stance, Nozomi immediately counterattacked, hitting Minato in the chest at point-blank range. "Two palms!"

"She got him!" up in the stands, Hizashi couldn't help but cheer her on. Nozomi was representing the branch family!
