Under the amber and gold canvases of the autumn foliage, Liliana and Lucas enjoyed their convenience store lunch. The crisp air gently blew passing them, bringing along the echoes of the people's laughter and chatter.
"The second round's theme hasn't been announced. The head judge mentioned it'll be up on the website in two days."
Lucas explained the next round to Liliana as per her question. She seemed to be very interested in knowing anything related to the bake-off.
"You'll keep competing against one candidate, right? Won't you team up in a pair or form a group?"
Liliana came out with the question once she swallowed the fried chicken. She had tasted Lucas' cakes and loved them both.
Lucas gently shook his head. He finished sipping his drink before replying, "It'll always be one versus one. The terms are clear."
Liliana hummed softly, thinking about what would the next theme be. Her gaze landed on the cake boxes placed on the table.
