The head judge's speech was met with applause from the participants and the spectators. The results of the first round were announced by him after a short break.
Every contestant was enveloped in a myriad of feelings. Some of them were happy, others had to deal with sadness while a few still couldn't believe the reality.
Nevertheless, this marked the end of the first round of the bake-off.
One by one, the participants and the spectators left the hall. Half of them still remained inside, including Lucas.
Exhaling a sigh, Lucas stared at the two cakes he made for the competition. They were placed on the kitchen island. The judges tasted a part of them.
