Feeling extreme loss and defeated for the first time in his whole life, Asher had to reluctantly leave Liliana's apartment. Her words from before still echoed in his mind, reminding him how much of a failure he was as a husband.
Asher drove aimlessly as he kept farther from Springfield Town. The colorful neon lights sparkled as they reflected against the car windows.
His eyes seemed to be indifferent but, only he himself knew how torn he was inside.
This was something new to Asher. And he disliked such changes.
Why couldn't he remain to be detached as always?
Why must he feel a bottomless void forming bigger within him because of her absence?
