-3rd POV-
<[Mission: First Disciple< p>
Description: Save the kid in the Fatui camp before she gets sent to Dottore for... experiments
Reward: Sin of Wrath]
'Sin of Wrath?' Meliodas thought in surprise. The reward didn't have a description of what it was or what it did, but from basic deduction, and a bit of annoyance, he has concluded that it was an ability related to Meliodas from the anime "The Seven Deadly Sins" or It was a skill related to the ACTUAL seven sins.
But since he was in what would be considered a fictional world and his name was quite LITERALY Meliodas, he opted for the first option.
But now begged the question, what did the system mean by "Deciple?"
[The system is called the "Support System". Basically, you earn rewards as you take in disciples, family members, or whatever you want to call it, and teach them and bestow skills that match with them. The more they grow and reach milestones, the better and more rewards you get]
The system explained, earning a hum of acknowledgment from Meliodas. Now he understood why he needed to have a disciple, for as much as they grow, so will he.
Now, the question was, should he do the mission?
On one hand, he REALLY hated the thought of taking care of a kid just when he started his isekai adventure.
But on the other hand....the ability sounded strong. There's also the fact that Meliodas didn't have the heart to leave the child to the Fatui, especially when the mission description informed him that she was going to be sent to Dottore.
"Sigh~, crew it" he sighed as he decided, looks like he was going to save the kid.
-Meiodas POV-
There are about twentyfive Fatui Agents from what I've been able to scout out, and there's probably even more inside the tents that I haven't seen.
The kid is probably in one of them. All I need to do is sneak in and out without alerting all of them. I could probably go in Gung Ho but I am absolutely sure I wouldn't be able to win a fight against them all.
The only reason I won against the Hilichurls back then was because they walked into my time slashes without thinking of why I had slashed the air and sheathed my sword back without reason.
If I were to fight these trained soldiers head-on I would be dead, or at least I would lose a limb or two before escaping-
*Fwoosh~*
A sudden chill went down my spine as I felt a thin blow of air on my neck.
Subconsciously, I collected the Reishi that was closest to me and flowed it through my veins, specifically on my neck area.
[Blut Vene]
*Clank!*
*TZZZZ!!!*
Just the tip of whatever was behind me managed to stab through my neck and was stopped by [Blut Vene] before they could go any deeper, any more of it and would have hit my arteries!
"What the fuck? why is his neck glowing blue?" A voice spoke behind me in shock.
I looked around and came face to face with a floating arm that was trying to stab its knife into my neck.
Damn, it's a Fatui assassin! no wonder I didn't notice him. These bastards can go invisible with whatever bullshit technology the Fatui managed to create.
[Azurblaues Schwert]
I manifested a Reishi sword into my hand. Taking advantage of his shocked state, I quickly stabbed from under my armpit to strike behind me.
The knife tip that was lodged in my neck was removed as the Fatui assassin jumped back, barely avoiding being impaled through his abdomen.
Turning around swiftly, I reshaped the sword into an arrow and quick drawed it in my hands without a bow and shot it.
*Fshloch*
Seems like this time I got it right, considering the groaning Fatui assassin who was holding his arm in pain, His invisibility cloaking finally turned off.
Blood trickled down his arm and down his fingers as it flowed from where the Reishi arrow was lodged in his shoulder.
I stretched my hands and pulled back with my other hand, multiple Reishi arrows manifested between my fingers.
"Fuck!" I could hear the Fatui agent mutter under his breath as he attempted to dodge the volley of arrows shot at him.
But despite his good dexterity and agility, he wasn't able to dodge them all.
It wasn't like he was weak or anything, it's just that his true power lies in the element of surprise. He lost that power the moment he got injured. Even if he had gone back into his invisible mode, I would have still been able to locate him by the trail of blood he was leaking.
He very well knew that fact.
Sigh~
There's a reason this pussy always hides in that invisibility cloak of his.
He now kneeled as he groaned in pain. A multitude of glowing blue arrows lodged in multiple parts of his body. I had aimed for his joints, specifically his legs. He can't go jumbling around if he can't walk, can he?
"Surrender?" I asked him as I held a sword at his neck.
He stayed quiet for a while and didn't respond. That was until he took a deep breath.
My face paled as I realized what he was about to do.
"Intrud-!!!" He didn't have a chance to finish his warning as I cut his head off.
I watched as his head rolled on the ground. The mask on his face fell off, revealing an expression that was filled with absolute fear before his death.
"EUGH-! Glueh-!" I barely managed to hold back from throwing up.
The scene, how can I describe it...
I don't feel pity for him nor do I regret killing him. If I hadn't, he most definitely would have killed me but...Once you see the dead body right in front of you, it makes you feel disgusting, no, Icky?
"The intruder is close! keep looking!" I suddenly heard multiple shouts.
Damn, they heard his yell...
Sigh~ no choice then.
Guess I'll have to kill them all.
But I don't have an advantage in numbers or terrain. Mondstat geography mostly consists of two things, either really big fucking mountains, or flatlands that have a hill or two with a bunch of trees.
Never is it in between unless it is a special forest like Wolvendom.
Guess there's just one choice.
Get in quickly in the middle of the fire, get the kid, and quickly get the fuck out of here!
Hm?
Looking at the corps next to me, an idea suddenly popped up in my head.
