The Shadows (3)

After mentioned their location that was Valhalla. His friends stayed silent and suddenly heard an explosion occurring in the distance. They all turned towards the direction of the explosion and wondered what was going on. Suddenly, Dj walks up to Dennis and grabs him by his right shoulder.

"Dennis, are you sure we are back to Valhalla??"

Dj asked Dennis.

"Yes, I am sure of it. If you don't believe look around. This place has seen better days."

They both looked at their surroundings while Dennis was talking. After that, another explosion occurred, and it felt close.

"What in the world is going on over there?"

Dwight asked. Dennis then took the lead and walked to the direction of the explosion. Everyone else then followed. As they walked towards the direction of the explosion. They could all heard shouting, quick footsteps, the screams of fallen soldiers. When they arrived, they end up on the edge of the cliff and saw that a fight was taking place in Valhalla.

"What the hell is this!?"

Owen asked. Spike then approached Owen sat down next to him.

"War, the enemy wants to take control of this place."

Spike said. Dennis then turned over to Spike that was to his left.

"Why would they gain if they get control of Valhalla?"

Dj asked.

"Well, that for starters..."

Dennis said. He then pointed at the bridge and saw that the enemy was trying to push their way to the bridge, but they were truly struggling to make progress. They all then noticed some happening in the distance and saw a massive shadow cover the sky.

"And that our signal to move!!"

Dennis shouted it out. They all saw a hand giant hand coming right at them. Dennis jumped down into the battlefield with Dwight and Dj while Spike, Owen and Donte ran away to find a different option to go down.

As Dennis, Dwight and Dj where falling they saw the enemy was once more the ns. They had the appearance wearing dark purple with a mix of black armor.

"Don't hold back! Give em hell guys!!"

Dennis said to Dj and Dwight. They all then called out their weapons and descend into battle. They all landed on top of three individual enemies, taking down completely that was enough to cushion their fall. After that they all went their separate directions to clear out the enemy. Dj when to left, Dwight to the right while Dennis went full center.

Dj grabbed one of them and pinned them down to the ground. Then an enemy approached from the back, and he quickly reacted by turning around with a kick that landed on the face. After that, Dj regained his balance and saw Dennis in the distance. Swinging his sword left and right, taking down the enemies with a swift hit. Eventually Dennis changes tactics by casting lightning magic with his left hand. It created a chain reaction due to the enemy wearing metal armor. It made a small clearing, revealing Dwight fighting with his weapon. He was having a better result with his electricity that was coming out of his weapon. With each hit, it created a chain reaction, taking down rows of enemies, but they keep coming back in greater numbers.

"Yo!! They don't know when to quit!!"

Dwight said. He the strike an enemy down that created another chain reaction. Taking down ten enemies and came back in greater numbers.

"Tell me about it!! I can barely keep them at bay at my end!!"

Dj said. He then punched an enemy straight in the face, kicked one that was behind him while dodging a sword slash returning the favor with a powerful punch to the stomach that pushed the enemy flying alongside with a few others.

"If I had my shadow right now... I would have finished this fight right now... But this is not the time... To start... Whining!!!

Dennis shouted from the top of his lungs. The clouds started rumbling while it formed lightning. Then a lightning bolt struck down at Dennis and they all saw it.

"Dennis!!"

Dwight and Dj said. They called out his name, but they heard him screaming in rage. It made them clear a path by taking down the enemies that were distracted. Once they arrived, they saw Dennis standing still while the back of his coat had burn mark.

"Dennis, are you okay?!"

Dj asked. As he approached Dennis, a flash of lighting hit the ground near his feet. Warning him that he shouldn't get closer.

"Dennis!! Answer me!!!"

Dj said to Dennis, but he did not respond. Dennis then opened his eyes, and they were filled with light. He then punched the ground with his left hand and went back to normal.

"I think I'm going to be sick..."

Dennis said. He then sat down while electricity passed throughout the entire ground taking down enemies from all directions. Dj and Dwight were speechless, and they were doing charades at Dennis trying to understand what happened. Eventually the others arrive to find out that by just the three of them took down an area filled with enemies.

"What the hell happened?!"

Owen asked.

"Yeah, we saw a lightning bolt land here while we were trying to find a proper way down."

Spike said. He then pointed back, indicating their path. Dj then approached Spike and told him what happened.

"The lightning bolt landed on Dennis, and apparently he got supercharged. He released all the stored-up power on the ground that affected all enemies in this area."

Dj said. They all then looked at Dennis. He had spaced out stare while trying to recollect his thoughts.

"We need to get Dennis back to the house. Staying here for too long will complicate things."

Dwight said as a suggestion. They all agreed on it and decided to take Dennis home, but they had one more problem at hand. None of them know how to get except for Dennis. They soon realized it and went over to Dennis to check on his current condition. The first person to approach was Owen.

"Hey, Dennis, how are you feeling?"

Owen asked. Dennis then looked at Owen for a quick moment and was starting back at a city that was to his left.

"Um... Dennis?"

Owen asked again. Dennis then stands up and looks at Owen.

"Move..."

Dennis said. Owen was confused, but he felt something that was coming from below. They both gave a step back and nothing happened.

"Dj, you handle this. I'm not going to deal with this."

Owen said. Dj then stepped in, but as soon as he got close to Dennis. His eyes started to glow bright red. Indicating that an enemy is nearby.

"Wait... That can't be right..."

Dj said to himself. He then went on his guard. Owen was still next to him and realized what was going on. No person that goes into guard while being next to their friend suddenly can't be good. Everyone else noticed soon after seeing Dennis body releasing a black mist that shows itself for a moment then vanishes.

"Who are you and what did you do to Dennis!?"

Dj asked. He points at Dennis as black metal chains ties around his body. They all then began to hear a loud voice that felt like a faint echo in their minds.

"I cannot say, but I must borrow this body for a while..."

The voice said. Dennis body was wrapped completely in chains, and it got dragged into the sky.

"I'm going after him."

Dj said. Donte then walked towards Dj and tried to stop him from doing a rash action.

"Look, we know that his captured an all, but we need a plan."

Donte said. Then Spike walks towards Donte and moved him out of the way.

"There is no plan when it comes to saving Dennis. I know the guy longer than any of you and when he gets captured, it's a race against time."

Spike said to Donte. Everyone else understood while Dj went for a head start. They didn't realize that Dj was gone for a split second, but they noticed the direction he was going by a trail of dust.

"Don't worry, I'm on my way!"

Dj said while shouting. He was running as fast he can while heading towards a horde of enemies.

"Out of the way!"

Dj said. He then prepared his right fist and took a swing at the nearest target. Sending it flying in a straight path while making an opening. Dj then goes in the move again searching for Dennis, but he ends up near the bridge and noticed Icarus with a glowing sword in his hands. He takes a swing at one enemy and created materialized light wave that hit multiple targets. It cleared out most of enemies in his area.

"Icarus!!"

Dj shouts. He goes into the bridge and goes over to Icarus.

"Dj? What in the world you are doing here?"

Icarus asked.

"No time for that, I'm looking for Dennis. He recently got captured and I think his in the city."

"Then there is no time to waste. We must move hastily before it's to late."

Icarus said to Dj. He then extended his left hand and called out a horse from the light. The horse seemed a lot like a machine that was brought to life.

"Wow, that something I don't see every day."

Dj said. Icarus then got on the horse and offered a hand to Dj. He grabbed on to Icarus hand and gets up on the horse.

"Quickly to the city!!"

Icarus said. Giving a command to the horse. While Dj was with Icarus, the others ended up losing track of Dj, but they ended up near a temple that had a crater in the main entrance. They walked in and Spike fell on the crater. Dwight and walked up ahead to investigate the area while Owen stayed behind.

"Did a fight took place here?"

Spike asked. He then saw claw marks, sword marks and bullet marks on the ground.

"Can someone get me out of here?"

Spike asked. Owen then offered a hand to Spike and got him out. Once Spike got out, Donte returned alone.

"You guys got to come see this."

Donte said. Owen and Spike followed, and they went inside the temple. When they were inside, they saw Dwight standing in by the entrance waiting for his friends while the room was just a throne room.

"It's just a throne, what purpose does it even have?"

Owen asked. Donte shrugged at him while Spike went to check on the throne and found a letter on it.
