Chapter 51 - Lighting Forest 12th Trial

Everyone in the pagoda didn't know what to do. Not a single person in the room could say freely that they could cause the same explosion, even the elders that were 8th or 9th level.

After Kyle started freely dropping everyone gasped, but Volta suddenly stood up and started laughing non-stop, nearly rolling on the floor.

Kyle has been knocked out a lot for the past couple of months, this feeling of waking up from the total abyss and barely being able to understand where he was or what happened.

This was annoying, but considering what was happening around Kyle, this adaptation skill was more than necessary.

As Kyle woke up, he could feel very different than before. The first thing that he felt was freezing cold, considering that his body has been strengthened and changed over and over again with the level ups and cultivation, him getting cold was very unnatural.

Right now as he opened his eyes, he could see that this was a room with no exits and everything was covered in snow.

The snow was even falling from the ceiling even though it was made out of white stone as well. This place was magical, for sure.

Kyle suddenly understood that he was not lying on the stone or snow but was actually put into the kneeling position with both his hands and head secured in confines.

In front of him, there was a fully white habit that looked like a human. This rabbit has an ember mark on its forehead.

"Woke up? Finally." Rabbit only looked at him but somehow already was sitting next to Kyle. The movement was so fast that it was impossible to track.

Kyle was lost in his thoughts, and panicky tried to get his body out from this confines.

"Don't even try. You have destroyed nearly 95% of the Embers proving ground in the continent of Unica. Were you sent by some of the enemy sects? Tell me the truth, or you will meet your end." Kyle tried to say something but couldn't even get any words out as it seems that his jaw was also locked with some qi.

"Oh, so you are actually a newly born practionist? And you are from Earth? Interesting." Kyle tried to say that, but couldn't. It seemed that this rabbit in front of him could read his mind.

The rabbit seemed more human than any human that he has met so far. This rabbit has excluded a certain feeling of status and intelligence.

"The punishment for such a grave deed is instant death, but the upper echelon of the Embers decided to spare you and give you a chance to join them instead. I personally think that this is too good for such an ignorant and destructive boy… Either way, it has been decided." Rabbit rotated its hands in a circle, and a black oval appeared in front of Kyle.

The rabbit looked at the portal and then back at the Kyle. "See you around, Kyle." The rabbit steeped into the black circle, and it started disappearing, which caused Kyle to be the only thing left in this space.

At the last second, when the oval was already reduced to the dot and was about to disappear, inside Kyle's ears another message resounded. "Welcome to the 12th trial of the Ember's trials. Leave this place in 12 months by penetrating the border with your soul force. Otherwise, you die. First, you might want to free yourself from the confines. Have fun!"

'Is it me or did this last words sounded happy? As if he was laughing at me trying to achieve what was demanded.' Kyle confusedly said.

But considering that Kyle couldn't even talk or move a single finger, it was more than justified.

Kyle now was as skinny as the mummy, and he was still trying to get rid of the confines. Right now, it was around a week since he arrived in this white space.

Kyle right now couldn't move qi outside of hi qi at all, the only thing he could do is to try breakthrough with his own power.

The worst thing was, that even though Kyle was a cultivator and has already achieved the Foundation Establishment realm, he still was short of the Golden Core realm. The craziest thing is that his experience gauge that was inside the system was full, and he could break through at any point but the confines that the rabbit placed on him prevented him from achieving it.

Kyle couldn't eat or drink anything, so his only source of nutrition was the qi that he was passively and actively collecting with his attractive force.

Kyle thought that he would die for certain, but around an hour ago, Kyle finally was able to separate the qi into energy that he could supply to his stomach and the energy that he could give to the dantian. This was a game-changing event as now. He could survive forever and anywhere by providing his body with water and food from the air. As long as there was qi, just like here, he would be able to survive.

Kyle focused his mind on what his plan of breaking away from this place was.

'First thing that I must focus on is to get my body in the optimal state. All this striving did me no good. After I do that, I will try to use the wave of conviction and lighting step together. Maybe this qi fluctuation will allow me to break off the confines. If that doesn't do it, I will have to try something else.' Kyle knew that the body had suffered too much damage, and now that he could "eat" qi, he could build himself and the muscles up again.

Kyle focused on that, and after around 3 hours of continuous eating, he couldn't consume any more nutrition. He finally, after 3 weeks felt full of food. 'This is the best feeling ever. I missed this so much.'

Kyle carried on doing this for a while and after 21 hours was fully restored to his optimal condition. He also noticed that this separated qi was much purer and improved the quality of the qi in the dantian as well as made it so that he would be less tired, and 3 to 5-hour sleep would be enough to restore his energy.
