At dawn, Arrluk woke up feeling refreshed and powerful. How could he not? The sleep has recharged his mana back to its full capacity and cleared any headache he had because of the Kraken. And waking up in the embrace of two naked black beauties made him feel extremely powerful.
Kojja and Xhasa came to him late in the night and rewarded him or in the case of Xhasa better yet say worshipped him in bed. The busty woman had almost become a fanatic in one night after witnessing his magical powers both in bed and outside and had started referring to him as Lord Magi or Lord Arrluk with reverence. Kojja was more level-headed and less religious but she too has started calling him Lord Arrluk, mostly to tease him or get him fired up in bed.
Arrluk was once again invited by Quhuru to eat together though this time he came himself. Quhuru tried harder this time to get to know about Arrluk's background and about his magical powers.
Arrluk only said he could learn to control the wind just as a baby would learn to walk or talk. It was instinctive to him and he was still finding out about his abilities. Arrluk revealed that he had never known how to make blades out of the wind and could only do so because he was in danger of being crushed into a pulp.
Quhuru was fascinated to learn that and also a bit disappointed as he couldn't ask Arrluk to teach him how to tame the wind. He soon guessed that Arrluk was someone like the Valyrians whose powers came from their blood and not by practicing magic like those from Asshai or Qarth or his home island. Though he couldn't think of any race or family to have the ability to manipulate wind as Arrluk does.
But Quhuru was a cunning merchant and he saw the great value in the young man last night so he had already asked his daughter at the risk of getting punched back to consider bearing Arrluk's child. If his guess is right then his future generation might be born with an amazing ability and they may come to unite the Summer Island one day. Perhaps Arrluk could do it himself and then it would be paramount for his daughter birth his firstborn.
Anyway, Quhuru didn't outright ask Arrluk if he wanted to become the of Summer Island as he was still young and an outsider. Therefore, he was going to wait for a year or two before breaching that subject with Arrluk and letting him know that the family Mo would support him in uniting the Summer Islands.
Arrluk didn't know what Kojja's father was planning but he had some inkling by the way he was talking about his family's influence and power in the Tall Trees town and he didn't mind that one bit. He had some plan of his own and that required help from people like Quhuru Mo.
The rest of the day was spent in the revering eyes of the sailors and the ex-slaves. Other than that he helped in keeping the ship running at top speed. The only noteworthy thing was that the limbs of the Kraken that were stored below the deck rotted away at an extremely fast pace.
You can't even recognise what it was now and so they had no value both as food or trophy. Quhuru had to throw them away in the sea as he feared the spread of some Kraken-specific disease if he kept them.
Arrluk guessed the reason for the limbs to rot was the Altar. He never saw what happened to the people he had killed in Lys so he wasn't sure if his theory was right or not. the coins that he had on him were still intact though had lost a lot of lustre but it was still silver and gold.
After two more nights, the Cinnamon Wind finally saw the land and adjusted their ships in its direction.
It was a small Island known as Stone Head. Arrluk did not remember much about Summer Island's geography and history from the books. He only knew that there were three big islands and some other scores of smaller islands. He only remembered some noteworthy names like the island where Nymeria had landed.
But after spending time on the Cinnamon wind, he had learned much about the Summer Island and knew that Stone Head is the northernmost island of the Summer Isles. To its south is the town, Last Lament on Walano.
And that Walano is the northernmost of the major islands in the Summer Islands.
They stayed on the island for a day to treat the injured and stock some water, rum and food before sailing again for Last Lament.
The freed slaves followed along rather than deboard on the island. Apparently, they wanted to settle in Tall Towns Tree or the place where Arrluk was going to settle. They learned much about Arrluk, his character, his deeds and his magical feats on the journey. So most of them wanted to settle near him for their own safety.
Last Lament is a town in northwestern Walano in the Summer Isles but they didn't go there instead the Cinnamon Wind corrected its course south-east to follow along the shores of Walano. they came across yet another island by the name Abulu which translated to the Isle of Women.
The isle was home for a time to Nymeria and her Rhoynar refugees before they moved to Dorne in southern Westeros. A few thousand of her followers chose to remain behind, and their descendants still dwell on the Isle of Women today.
Arrluk wanted to go there and see if he could find something about Water magic from them. He had success in consolidating the Runic symbol of water in his mind and thus he could manipulate water to some extent therefore he was curious how it compared to the magic of the ancient Rhoynar and how their knowledge could benefit him.
"Maybe later," Arrluk murmured when the Isle vanished from his sight.
Finally, before sunset, they reached the mouth of the river which would take them to Tall Trees Town located inland. After another hour of river sailing, the famous town came into his sight.
