Thrall

A week went by in the blink of an eye. To determine the world's time, Kaiju studied how the moon progressed.

The Red and Blue moon each rose in the opposite direction, the former being in the east and the latter being in the west, so when they eclipsed, the whole world turned purple.

Once they set, another moon appeared, one that was multiple times bigger than the red and blue moon combined. Kaiju assumed it was bloodmoon – of course, proceeding from east to west. Once it settled on the middle, the blood moon turned bloody crimson and once it occurred, Kaiju's instinct was screaming in peril, quickly searching for a place to hide for a while.

He figured it should be related to the vampires living in the burg. Based on what he knew about the vampire race, a race among many other races his teachers' introduced to them, they were bloodthirsty, always craving for blood, and their weakness was sunlight.

Bloodmoon was always the time they would berserk in the world, a time where they would lose control of themselves and infinitely become stronger than before… Thankfully, one of the strongest humans established a great connection with them, causing their invasion to be less happening unless it was based on a personal interest.

As of the moment, he was nowhere near the level of the vampire living on the burg… the weakest being the Thralls, from the lackadaisical information of the Gacha System, was already beyond his level…

That was a week ago.

Now, he was fighting another, accompanied by Snow, without utilizing the skill, Emotionless. This was the third thralls he came across, still on the Savage Rank. The previous one… he tried to battle it without Emotionless skill, but he was scared witless he instantly activated it, ending its life with a similar fashion to the first Thrall.

Day and night, starting from that day, the horror left by the Thralls became his shadowboxing, attempting to get accustomed to their appearance. So, when he came across the third thralls, one that he was currently facing, scrutinizing his body reaction, seemingly having a slight shivering and his mind was in half peace, he assumed he could fight now without relying on the Emotionless skill.

Not only was he trying his best to get accustomed to the terror of the grotesque monster, he was also studying its nature.

They basically have limited regenerative power, basic bloodlust-driven strength, and animal-like instincts.

Unlike Snow, who possessed the intelligence of a kid, the Thralls were just driven by hunger and primal instinct.

It only wanted to kill another living thing, swiping its claws randomly, chasing with its mini face revealing its massive mouth, with tongue out, slapping saliva everywhere… it acted like how a hungry beast would.

Kaiju was utilizing that information to his advantage, baiting the grotesque monster to the trap he set up.

While striding through the numerous, gigantic roots, as the scarlet bloodmoon gleamed through the immense crown of trees, there was a savage monkey, setting its eyes on him while gliding through the branches.

Its savage eyes were surprisingly filled with excitement, trying its best to keep up with Kaiju and the Thrall.

Kaiju smiled in response, nodding at it, and then focusing his attention forward.

The tremor caused by the Thrall did not change, it did not falter him a bit, and he was not anxious by it. If it was before, it would only be a matter of time before he was caught by the Thrall. However, he was not dilly-dallying during the past week, working hard to accumulate a hundred Luck Points and utilized them to buy all Common draw to upgrade his physical attributes.

Of course, obtaining skills and weapons was important, but strengthening himself had more impact, considering he was not blessed by a strong constitution and wealth to buy Genesis Serum.

Now, he was equaled to an unawakened who consumed a Crude Genesis Serum. Furthermore, compared to them who would have to suffer from the side effects of the Crude grade, he felt vigorous.

Even so, since he only had ten attributes points earned by the Common draw, each of them was randomly distributed to strength, agility, durability, and intelligence, only his strength and agility reached ten points.

However, that was enough.

He presumed the Thralls had ten points of agility, while its strength… he did not want to talk about it.

Soon, Kaiju saw something in his vision that caused his eyes to light up.

Ahead of them, there were myriads of leaves, seemingly concentrated in one place. Kaiju was intentionally bolting towards it. When he arrived, he took a massive leap ensuring not to land on the myriads of leaves.

It was almost twenty five meters long, causing him to increase his speed to elevate the distance he could cross when he leaped.

He rolled forward multiple times and when he found his balance, he quickly turned around – just in time to see the Thrall, still setting its bloodshot eyes on him, while finally stepping on the concentrated myriads of leaves.

Suddenly, it lost its balance and fell out of nowhere as the myriads of concentrated leaves collapsed.

Kaiju grinned in response.

The monkey was beating its chest as it was guffawing in a mocking manner towards the Thrall.

Snow popped out from Kaiju's white t-shirt filled with grime and hissed in elation.

The thrall fell into a deep pit as what remaining part of his body could be seen popping out of it was its mini head, still directing its savage blood-thirsty face toward Kaiju.

Its thunderous roar filled with indignation reverberated through the forest.

It worried Kaiju, knowing it would alert other monsters and beasts nearby, and it might put themselves into jeopardy.

He did not hesitate anymore to pull out the sharp dagger from his waist, with its hilt tied by a rope. The dagger's size made it seem like it was a short sword in Kaiju's hands; hence, why he was wielding it with his two hands.

He positioned himself to leap and activated the skill, Swift Dash, and instantly arrived in the Thrall.

The world seemed to slow down as Kaiju precisely aimed to slash at the Thrall's eyes – a fountain of green blood gushed out from the lacerated wound.

When Kaiju arrived at the other side of the pit, he hurriedly turned around and activated another Swift Dash to end the Thrall's agony…
