Peaceful Night (R18)

A single campfire illuminated the plains that stood between the walls of the kingdom and its forest as the darkness from the night sky took over.

I was looking forward to starting a fire, but Beatrice took care of that using her magic.

It was kind of a bummer since I was eager to try the things I saw online.

But I didn't let that be the end, so with some effort, I managed to light a second campfire close by.

One could argue that this was pointless as we put out the second one that I had made, but still, I was happy to try out something new.

Also, while magic is convenient, you never know what tomorrow will bring, so I consider that getting good at lighting a fire is still time well spent.

On that note, I should've brought an actual tent to learn how to set them up too...
