I remember the way to the path is a quick jog, so I spend around five minutes cleaning up my tracks and then set out toward the path. After reaching it I have a smooth ride until I find some issues.
'I found an unexpected obstacle. That is a small palisade full of moderately armed lizardmen, they wore an armor that looked like dragon scale for the leather and it was strapped together with steel half-plate <imagine starting from the chest there was a large plate covering their pecs with two smaller plates underneath that covering their abs, with steel pauldrons on the shoulders and three half a finger length curved plates covering the hips, this usually would be strapped onto the chainmail or a gabson which is basically five layers of cloth clothing sewn together to catch arrows. This armor is not usually used in the game of thrones universe and is commonly used in heavy infantry, imagine roman legionaries with more metal bits and with pants. The armor which is usually seen for knights is a gothic full plate which the germans used for the crusades although Jamie Lannister is seen wearing a form of half-plate when he is in his golden armor the only difference is that the main torso part is one steal peace instead of three or more smaller pieces of plate, sorry for the info rant over the plate I love plate armor since it was the only thing I counted as true armor ever before guns.> unusual but I imagine this is what they were fighting dragons for other than maybe food, although I don't see me with my steel short sword piercing that armor, much less being able to fight them due to them being able to fight dragons. They are likely are in a different tier level from them being able to fight dragons.'
'Since this is the case I'm gonna want to find a way to distract them, since I've gotten a bloodline skill I've noticed the stronger monsters or humanoid creatures seem to be mostly balanced with all their skills other than the few stronger ones I see around the camp because I see a small skinny one commands a group of what seems like the lizardmen version of Rock, the Terminator, and Hulk Hogen. These stronger more muscular lizardmen wear full plate, and capes of dragonhide, with one looking like the Rock having no helm and higher than average upper body muscle showing from the bloated steal around his biceps. he also wielding a halberd, the version of the Terminator having a more chiseled face and a stoic face he wields a calvery saber, The final of the trio the version of Hulk Hogen had what seemed like a black birthmark in the shape of a handlebar mustache he had two gauntlets with a Morningstar strapped onto his back.
I don't know how they did it but I guess all sentient little boys have to have something to look up to, and this is this universes way of balance. but this does drag in the fact they probably have better senses than me '
' Back to the plan, I'm thinking I should set fire to the forest, although it can be extremely stupid Is I rush through the smoke it will cover my escape and make it so they come and try to stop it since the fire can seem natural since it is summer and prone to fires, this and they don't want to lose the forest due to resources of food would and protection from a line of sight.'
Thinking up this plan I use my make-shift fire starter and light a random dry bush next to a few trees on fire, quickly doing this in a few spots I run through the forest and grab my sled. using the opportunity I rush.
Dong Dong Dong Dong Dong
"Iggriiiii!" a scream sounded from the palisade
' Following the sound of an alarm and what sounded like a screech from one of the lizardmen I see hundreds of lizardmen pour out of the palisade, what is this, Orcs from World of Warcraft. I sprint as fast as I can hugging a nearby hill using the area of forest in between the hill and the palisade to reach the other side.'
After about fifteen minutes I reach the other side and then find a safe distance to follow the path to what I hope is the village. I spend a few hours to reach the village or what is left of it since it was covered with burned down buildings, dragon bones, and an almost completely demolished wall except for one turret which was only partially destroyed. There was a castle in ruins in the center of this village.
"Finally found the place Zerif was talking about," I say aloud finally relieved to find a place I can stay for a while.
' From what the book that Zerif wrote he said he left his legacy here as well as some of the other higher-skilled remnants. He also mentioned a map and books I can learn more of the lore of this land and the world, as well as some techniques in engineering and crafting.'
I go inside the village, listening to the crunch of brittle bones and ash as I walk to the nearest large building. Inside I find torn red banners and ruined regal carpets to complement, and finally, there was a staircase to the upstairs similar to the staircase in the entranceway of the black butler mansion, on each side of the building there were large rows of cases where it looks to have been books stored with half the area covered in rubble. I searched the place finding a few good books such as the life of a valyrian soldier which is similar to the life of a legionary in my world, a proper valyrian which is similar to the prince in my world.
There were other books about blacksmithing and masonry, as well as carpentry. Although my favorite find was there were some books over magic such as Arcanium and its Applications. After finding said book and throwing them into the sled I leave since the upstairs is blocked by a support beam.
After exiting I see a shining light in the semi-intact turret, thinking maybe somebody survived I head toward the tower finding a semi-intact cobble road, following it I find more and more dragon bones, bits of steal, broken swords, and an assortment of other weaponry. I keep going finding skeletons with rusted armor-wearing red capes and rusty helms. Careful to not flip the sled due to the rough terrain, seeing the armor makes me wonder if the valyrians made their last stand in this tower. Heading up a pile of rubble to finally see what was inside of the turret I see many armors of silver and red strewn around the floor finding a draconic standard stabbed in the floor near the back with a skeleton wearing golden armor with a red cape, and golden centurion helm. There was a gem inlaid inside the center of the chest of this armor, It was flashing light like a beacon.
I go toward the golden-wearing skeleton and touch the flashing gem setting me flying back and unconscious with my eyes red...
