After returning home, Atra Blanc found the handwritten suicide note of Meredith Richards in her privately stored box and handed it to Purple Summers.
This letter was perhaps the only evidence that Meredith Richards ever existed in this world.
The paper had yellowed slightly, but was very smooth, obviously well preserved by Atra Blanc.
Purple Summers sat alone in her room reading the letter.
Meredith Richards had written in a beautiful fountain pen script, graceful and vigorous, showing no weakness, with a hidden sharpness in the strokes.
Looking at her writing, Purple could imagine what a proud and beautiful woman she must have been.
Sometimes pride is not a bad thing, with a bit of arrogance in one's bones, one can live freely, especially since Meredith Richards was born into a prestigious family and studied under a great teacher. She had every right to her pride.
Unfortunately, she couldn't get past the obstacle of love.
