The eyes of the two women turned even more disdainful. So it was a socialite? How could a socialite possibly be able to work in a corporate environment?

"So, it is Miss He," the gentle woman nodded her head in a greeting. While others thought that she was polite and friendly, only women could sense the hostility that was between them.

He Lixue nodded her head. She could not be bothered with someone who was causing problems, so instead, she just stayed quiet. She did not need to show off; she already knew her skills and knew that the work in the IT Security Department would be as simple as counting sheep at night.

Even if someone were stupid enough to scheme against her, she had no fear. What had she not already experienced in her previous life?

Back then, every decision was a question about staying alive, every scheme had a loser, and the loser often lost their lives.

Although He Lixue had not killed anyone personally, she had caused the death of many. Her only friend also happened to be a leader of an international killer organization, so it was quite easy to get rid of the people who caused her problems.

Now the game was different, but would these people be able to be as ruthless as her? He Lixue doubted it. To be truly ruthless, one did not only have to be ruthless to the enemy but also to themselves.

So when she looked into the eyes of the gentle woman, she smirked coldly. The gentle woman suddenly became scared. Although there was nothing special, her eyes were so cold and emotionless that she almost stepped back in fear.

Still, the men noticed nothing, but the three women had their own showdown, and from the first encounter, He Lixue was the one who came out on top.

A slight smile appeared on He Lixue's lips, and she politely, and innocently, greeted everyone individually as Manager Mo introduced them.

The men were all polite and friendly. Some were more outspoken than others. Even so, all of them were immensely polite, and none of them seemed to have any prejudice against her.

They all trusted in Manager Mo, and seeing him being so sure of her performance; they choose to trust her as well.

The two women maintained a polite smile on their faces, but it was clear that they were displeased with He Lixue's arrival.

After the meeting, Manager Mo personally went to show He Lixue where they had emptied an office for her. Although the office was rather small, it was private, and He Lixue was very pleased with it.

She looked at the computer, and saw that their specifications were outstanding. The computers were able to do anything she could ask for.

She had not been given any specific task that day, she just had to familiarize herself with the office and the computer, and then she would start getting easy tasks the following day.

The IT Security Department had many tasks, amongst those were the ISO documentation, the programmers who developed new software for safety systems, and they also had the ones who monitored the network, the logs, and the traffic.

He Lixue had not been told what she was supposed to work on yet, but considering that she had been told to crack various programs, she assumed she would be with the programmers, to find flaws in their code.

After getting herself familiar with the computer, she began exploring the floor that belonged to the IT Security Department. There were many empty rooms, meeting rooms, occupied offices, and finally a kitchenette where one could prepare their lunch.

As she walked around, she suddenly saw that there was also a break room. Right now, the gentle woman, Yang Shirou, was talking with a few of the men, her expressions very compassionate.

"I am worried about Miss He," she was saying with a sigh. "She is a young woman, with no education, and no prior experience. Will she not just mess up everything for us? I understand that Manager Mo pities her and takes her in, but if she messes up, it will be us who has to clean up her mess."

"Manager Mo said that he had faith in her skills," one of the men said while frowning. "Since Manager Mo has faith in her skills, we ought to look at her performance before we judge her."

Seeing that the men were not on her side, a gloomy gleam flashed by her eyes, but she quickly hid it.

"Miss Yang," a tender and innocent voice suddenly sounded out, causing the men to feel an urge to protect this adorable little girl.

"Miss He," Yang Shirou looked at He Lixue with a smile on her face, wondering what the young woman could have planned.

"You said that I do not have any prior experiences or skills? You have never seen me handle a computer, who are you to judge me like this?"

Yang Shirou was quite embarrassed, but she was not going to back off. "You were in a coma for three years, do you even know the specifications of the computers one uses nowadays?"

Although Yang Shirou had worked hard to build a reputation as being a gentle and benevolent woman, the men could not help but frown when they heard this. They felt that she was bullying He Lixue.

"Why don't we try and see who is best at cracking a code then? Give us the same code and a laptop and see who finishes first? I have nothing to fear because I have faith in my abilities, but what about you? If you can't even beat me, who just woken up from a three year coma, how can you claim to be a genius in this field?"
