The Mysterious Receptionist

Many of the people in the conference room saw that He Lixue was deep in thought as her fingers were dancing on the keys of the keyboard. They were like a ballet, jumping and dancing, lifting and landing, every movement was such a graceful that they were stunned upon observing them.

What was He Lixue creating that required such exquisite skills? All of them were curious, but none of them wanted to interrupt her, and as such, they decided to stay away until she was done.

The time went into the night, and slowly the workers began getting ready to leave work. Most of them were immensely satisfied with the work they had done that day.

What they had learned was not just a small benefit to them, it had been a complete revolution to their thoughts and their methods, allowing them to reach much further than they had ever thought possible before.

They looked at He Lixue, who showed no signs of moving and sighed. She was a true expert in the field of computers, she knew what she was doing, and many of them felt envy but even more admiration.

Such a young woman, who had just awakened from a coma, was able to create such amazing things, it was truly impossible to understand how it was possible.

It was not before only three had stayed in the conference room that He Lixue leaned back and signed deeply. She had reached a point where she could take a break. She saved her progress and looked around, seeing that the other two workers, Manager Mo and Wang Jingshen, He Lixue shyly rubbed her nose.

"Did I make you wait long?" She asked adorably, and they shook their heads with a smile on their faces.

"No it is fine, what are you doing that is requiring such attention from you?" Manager Mo could not help but ask, and He Lixue smiled mysteriously.

"I am making a big surprise for you and Brother Nanfeng. I am sure you will like it!"

Manager Mo narrowed his eyes, but he could only see expectation in her eyes, and he shook his head. He did not think that she had any ulterior motives with joining their department, especially not now she was teaching them all, so he did not mind letting her continue the surprise.

"Are you planning on taking a taxi home?" Manager Mo asked with a worried expression on his face as he looked at the dark skies outside the windows.

"Yes, I cannot walk home, especially not so late at night. I am still quite weak after spending so long in a coma."

"Let me give you a lift," Manager Mo was also worried that something would happen. If something happened to her after working overtime at his department, he knew that Lu Nanfeng would personally kill him.

As such, he felt it necessary to see her home himself. His life depended on it!

Seeing him so serious, He Lixue could not help but chuckle, but she said nothing against it. She was used to the dark nature of people, and she was truly too weak to stand up for herself right now. It would indeed be best for her to be sent home by Manager Mo.

"In that case, I would like to thank you for helping me home," she said with a happy grin, while Wang Jingshen, on the side, felt a little sad. Just because she was a woman, she got preferential treatment. He was also quite weak, but no one ever offered to drive him home!

While Wang Jingshen was feeling bitterness over the reality of life, Manager Mo and He Lixue packed down everything they had before leaving the office. Even Wang Jingshen hurried to finish his work before he followed them to the elevator.

They entered the elevator together, but where He Lixue and Manager Mo needed to enter the underground parking lot, Wang Jingshen left from the ground floor, through the office's main doors.

Although it was late, this was the Fenghuang Group's headquarters. Many were working overtime, and even the receptionist and the security guards were not able to leave. There was also a night shift that worked throughout the entire night.

The Fenghuang Group had people working all day and night. Therefore it was not anything special for the receptionist to see the IT Security Department's members to leave.

Although it was nothing special, she could not help but frown. This was the second day in a row that the IT Security Department had worked overtime.

Was something wrong with the security or what was behind their behaviors? Everyone in the company knew that they were eccentric, and thus everyone recognized them right away.

When she saw that Wang Jingshen left, she also noticed that he had a happy expression on his face, she could not help but think that it was weird to be so happy after working overtime, especially not if something had gone unexpectedly.

Thinking like this, she picked up her private phone. After ensuring that no one was present and looking at her, she sat down an sent out a text message.

The message contained a few pieces of information, and after sending it out, the receptionist felt her heart beating rapidly. She knew that what she did was not allowed, but she had no choice.

The person whom she was sending her message to was someone she owed much to. Also, the person had some black materials on her, and as long as she only sent messages like this, it did not endanger her job at all.

While the receptionist had reached her own conclusions and sent it out to other people, Manager Mo and He Lixue arrived at the underground parking lot.
