The Immortal Bug Valley, once teeming with countless insect beasts, was now eerily silent. Jiang Chengxuan and Shen Ruyan had explored much of the valley, uncovering several mysteries, and this towering cliff wall was one of the most intriguing.
"Insect beasts have all but disappeared from the valley. Something drastic must have occurred," Jiang Chengxuan observed, his brows furrowing in thought. "Even the caves of powerful insect beasts show no signs of recent activity. It's unnervingly strange."
Shen Ruyan nodded, her expression equally solemn.
Over the past few days, the two had ventured deep underground, even returning to the site where they had previously found the Five-Element Stones. Yet, there was no sign of activity. The few insect beasts they encountered were weak, their numbers scant.
Even the lairs of dominant creatures, like the one that once belonged to the Golden Cicada Immortal, were deserted, devoid of life.
