"Alright, now we just need to let this thing accumulate enough power to make me, my dream familiar." I tap the contraption we built together.
This time it is a decent machine without any ducktapes. Tiamat and I just finished the biology parts of this project while Angelica handled the mechanical parts.
"Let's hope that little guy would be worth the time we spent on him." Tiamat mutters and goes back to check on her daughter.
I follow her since I want to take Gabriel out. She is currently reading a storybook to the egg. It is very bizarre to live a life like this...
Making it back to the basement/living room I see Gabriel reading out loud but the thing that got my attention is different.
"Hey, Tia." I calmly call out to my wife.
"Yes, dear." She seemed to have noticed as well. There's a little but a very stable drain on Gabriel's aura that directly gets sucked into the egg.
"Our daughter is eating other people's energies... She is not even out of her egg..." I state this could be a problem.
"She might be developing inherent magic. Considering your ability to hold any type of energy and my greed it is expected." She's going to look like Kanna, isn't she?
Sharing a look with my wife, we move and stop Gabriel, I tell her to get ready for our date to make her leave the room.
"What do you have to say for yourself, young lady?" Tiamat asks the egg.
"Tia she's an egg..." I say ignoring the slowly paling egg.
"I can communicate with her just fine." She huffs.
"Alrighty then." I sat down and watched this one-sided conversation. After some negotiation between mother and daughter, they agreed on something.
Kanna agreed to eat only from me since I was the tastiest(?). We learned that a drop of Origin Energy is enough for her to be satisfied.
Why do I feel like I failed as a parent already?
..
I took Gabriel to our date with heavy feelings on my shoulders, I honestly don't know where to take her, according to intel I gathered by just asking Gabriel herself. She usually doesn't have time for hobbies and even when she does she pretty much, tried everything except entertainment like movies or video games and such.
But those are too normal, so I broke another taboo of mine and took Gabriel to a version of Nasuverse where one of the timelines is about to be put under quantum lock and snipped.
This timeline is 'perfect' in a sense if you look at it from a human point of view, this is an actual utopia on earth. I figured Gabriel would love to see a world without suffering, also I may or may not have wanted to glance at the cup of Heaven if I can find it.
"...and so, the great inventor brought peace and turned this world into a Utopia where no one suffers and no children cry." I explain the world's background to the shocked Seraph.
Okay, I may not have thought this through... Also, I have to deny the local Merlin from using his Clairvoyance on Gabriel by flipping him off at random intervals. He just doesn't give up!
"This... But you said this world is going to end. Why?" Gabriel is shocked because, yes Root is about to pull the plug on this world.
"This type of world peace means stagnation. If you stagnate, you die. The world only cares about progress, humanity here stopped progressing. So the world is pulling their plug." I solemnly state.
"Are you telling me true peace is impossible?" Argh! now I can't unsee a ginger Gabriel supporting with Rinnegan!
"No, our world doesn't have a higher power that can pull the plug but yes, the universe tends to balance itself." I reply.
'Unless it's your own universe' I chuckle inwardly thinking about my ball of nothing. It's binding to my soul nicely.
"Well, that's depressing. Tell me Merlin why did you bring me here?"
"To be honest, I figured you'd like seeing a world without human suffering but it kinda backfired." I chuckle nervously.
"Well, it was nice until I realized the implications. Why don't we chat a bit more before returning home." I nod at her and sit down on a cloud.
Chats with Gabriel feel more like therapy than conversations. Then again that is the exact reason I wanted her with me.
I am not going to lie, power got to my head, I did stuff without caring about the consequences. It's not like I can fix myself at this point but this should help me with control.
"So Merlin why did you agree to sleep with me or should I say why did you arrange the situation to reach that point?" She asks.
"I have come to realize I am becoming unhinged more than normal. I figured you could help."
"You did all of that just to get me to be your wife?"
"Yes."
"That's kinda sweet but is that all?"
"I mean yeah, I had no intentions to increase the number of girls in the harem but I figured if I am getting a therapist I would rather get someone I can love."
"So you're not getting more girls?"
"Well, I kinda need a manager..."
"Then?"
"Well, five is a good number don't you think? I have no intentions to get more, I figured I could handle but it seems five is my limit." I explain.
"Well, I honestly don't know what to think about harems."
"Solomon..." I remind her making her sigh in defeat.
A wise man said, "Solomon had over 1000 wives and he was the wisest man, he must have known something."
"Anyway, unless something unexpected happens no more additions to the harem."
"Dear, I believe this is what humans call jinxing one's self."
"Fuck!"
"Language."
..
"Muramasa-san?" I called out to the redhead blacksmith.
I am not sure why he looks like Emiya Shirou but this guy is a descendant of Muramasa and he is also a blacksmith like his ancestor.
He has a blade blacksmith Sacred Gear, but I can feel that it is unstable due to his inheritance messing with it. Maybe the Blade Blacksmith Grigori gave to Kiba was his before they offed him. Wait wasn't that related to his friends' souls? I don't remember.
I came to realize, it is useless to think about descendants, this guy inherited Sengo Muramasa's soul and counts as a hero(?) descendant but on the other hand Arthur and Le Fay count as descendants despite not inheriting the spirits of their ancestors. I naturally don't have anything relating to DxD Merlin neither but I do count as his descendant.
"Yes, that is me. How may I help sir?" He goes for a handshake I return it uncaring his soot-covered hands.
"I was wondering if you are taking orders for swords?" I ask.
"Unfortunately, I have been having some health problems lately. It appears I have one of those pesky Sacred Gear things in my soul, I keep messing up." He clenches his hands to a fist.
This is the first person I have met that hated their sacred gear. Even Valerie was okay with hers.
"What if I can help you with that?" I offer and give him my card. Not everyone knows my handsome face after all.
"Well, I'll be glad if you could help..."
"Hopefully glad enough to forge a katana?"
"Yeah, sure." He chuckles.
I quickly fixed his little problem, some inheritors receive some parts of their ancestor's souls for some reason as I said before and OG Muramasa was basically waging a war on the Sacred Gear.
I promptly seal that part inside the Sacred Gear turning Blade Blacksmith into something else, SG will be capable of doing new things. Something along the lines of UBW... OG Muramasa will return to wherever he came from upon his descendant's death so he isn't permanently sealed.
"Now I want you to forge a sword with these materials." I bring out blackened armor pieces.
They're taken from Vali's Balance Breaker after she managed to mix her Devil Trigger with it, making the pieces demonic-draconic in nature.
The sword forged won't match up to Yamato but it will be compatible with Divine Dividing. Then maybe Albion's ability can cut space. He still claims he could do it if he was alive in his prime but none of us believe in him at this point.
