Chapter 19

(3rd POV)

"My dear siblings, we are here to discuss Merlin Ambrosius." Micheal starts the meeting of Seraphim taking place at the 6th Heaven.

"What about him, sure he appears to don't like the Church but he did make this new magic system." One of them says.

"Yes, the exorcists' performance has been doubled once they started using it."

"Although not even Vasco Strada was able to replace the phenomenon Merlin created with the golden moon."

"Yes he has contributed to our cause immensely but, unfortunately, we have received the news that he gave the Sephiroth Graal user to the devils." Michael gave the grave news.

Holy Relic falling to the hands of the devils is a major event that could have long-lasting consequences if it wasn't handled right.

"But brother it seems that the holder of the Sephiroth Graal seems to be childhood friends with Bishop of Gremory Heiress. She's yet to be turned to the devil too, let's not make a hasty decision." Gabriel interjects, she's been looking into Valerie's dossier and she can't help but feel sorry for the poor girl.

"That doesn't matter! The fact that he gave a Holy Relic to devils is enough to put him under our watch. Michael let me go talk to him." Uriel slams his hand on the table, anger evident on his face.

"Calm down Uriel, indeed we were a bit late to meet with the boy personally but there's no need to be that angry." Another Seraph calms him down.

"Brother I think I should be the one to approach him, intel says he doesn't have many males around him it is clear he favors females." Gabriel offers.

"NO!" The rest of the Seraphim yell in unison.

"I didn't fall after Azazel's tricks, don't belittle me I am not naive."

"Well, she has a point."

"Yeah, for a second boy's face looked like Azazel that's why I reacted like that."

"Right. It's not like he can seduce our sister in the first meeting hahaha." A pink flag falls to that angel's head unseen by anyone in the room.

"Alright calm down, sigh. Then I'll be leaving this to you, Gabriel." Hearing her brother Gabriel nods and leaves with an excited smile.

"So, any news on Metatron?" Another Seraph asks.

"The last time I called him he said he found genuine Sharingans from a manga and he was about to get an eye transplant. I barely talked him out of it." Michael sighs and palms his face.

Metatron was never been the same after their father's demise.

After discussing the current situation of Heaven, the mysterious farm that grew out of nowhere, the church's situation, and what should be done until the next meeting Michael ended the meeting leaving only him in the room.

"Why do I feel like I committed a grave mistake with sending Gabby..." Michael shakes his head, gets up, and leaves as well.

In the empty meeting room, cracks spread on-air and the world breaks similar to the semblance of a certain ice cream lover, revealing Merlin sporting a soft smile.

"Well, it seems like I need to make some adjustments to Heaven's system before meeting Gabriel. I can't break a second flag after all it would be rude."

(AN: Seducing Gabriel on the first meeting sounds like something Merlin would do...)

"Where should I put this box?" Vali asks, she's holding a comically large box in her hands.

"That goes to the living room. Thank you for helping me move." I thank Vali.

There's nothing in those boxes but I needed a reason to call her otherwise she will keep procrastinating our date.

"What do you even have in these? I carried a warehouse full of boxes. Weren't you freeloading off Golden Dawn?"

"I got nothing in those boxes." There's no need to lie, also I want to see her face.

"What do you mean nothing?"

"I just enchanted them to weigh heavy. There's nothing in those boxes."

"You!!!" She points a finger at me.

"Me!?" I point a finger at myself.

"All right lovebirds that's enough, save it for your date." Tiamat walks in front of us with a big belly.

"When did you get knocked up anyway?"

"Three days ago, Dragon bodies are weird. Now I need to lay the egg. This is also why Merlin is moving. Although Japan wasn't my first choice, it is not bad." Tiamat answers.

Vali sends an indiscernible look at me as I continue laying down formations.

There's a reason I moved to Kyoto, one of the reasons is that I want to make my dungeon here.

People will die in there and I need them to not die when they're killed. This means I need to make a deal with a Death God to allow them to respawn.

I can make the spawn function on my own but it would be easier for the Shinto faction to accept the dungeon and become my Alpha testers if their Gods approve it.

Izanami is the most reasonable one among Death and also the only female Death God I know. The dungeon will clear the malice out of the world this will indirectly strengthen Shinto Faction as well.

I don't see any reason why she would refuse but even then I have offers she can't refuse.

Once the house got secured and became a liveable place I and Vali got kicked out by Tiamat and Ophis.

Tiamat is going to lay the egg and she doesn't want anyone to see it, the only reason Ophis is allowed is that she can't beat her out.

"So, we're going to our date yet?"

"Fine... What am I going to do with you being like this?" Vali sighs and mutters the last bit.

"Love me." Vali turns redder than Rias's hair and rushes past me. She probably didn't expect me to hear it judging by the reaction she had to my answer.

I decided on a beach date due to it being summer, of course, we're not going to public beaches like casuals and get roped into tropes.

I have no desire to beat random mob. So, I reserved the entire place just because I could.

Vali wasn't aware of the details of our date so she had to wear the bikini I provided. It wasn't anything revealing but Azazel warned me about Vali's baggy beach shorts.

I want my girlfriend in a bikini dammit!

Now we stand together looking at the blue sea, Vali's wearing her bikini and I am fully clothed.

"My clothes make me look thinner. That's why I am fully clothed at the beach." I tell her.

"I didn't ask..." Vali's face is blank.

"Goodness! If you insist I'll show you!" I dramatically take my shirt off.

"I didn't ask!" She screams but her eyes are glued to my body.

One of the benefits of becoming a mass of energy given form is that I became a true shapeshifter. I can adjust how much muscle I have.

Once Vali calmed down we started playing around, we swam a little. Things got competitive as always whenever I hang out with Vali.

Eventually, I brought out the watermelon.

"I always wanted to try this out ever since I started watching anime." I excitedly place the watermelon.

"We're both supernatural, just closing my eyes won't work." Vali points out.

"Oh don't worry, this is a special blindfold I made while making a sensory spell for Ophis. This will make you blind and dull your other senses to human levels." Vali argued against wearing fetish wear for a bit but still put on the blindfold.

The fact that she associated blindfold with S&M makes me worry about her childhood. It must've been hard growing up with an abusive father and then NTR Fallen Azazel and Heaven's greatest masochist Baraqiel.

Since Vali trusted me enough to get herself blinded I didn't play tricks on her and guided her to her prize but we both forgot about our strength while having fun.

In the end, there wasn't much left from the watermelon and we both got showered with watermelon blood.

"It's just juice don't call it watermelon blood it is edgy..." Vali whines.

"Sure xXx MorningStar xXx."

"I made that account when I was 10! Spare me the embarrassment." I take the opportunity to pat her head.

"This is nice. It's been a while I enjoyed myself." she says.

"Well, I am glad. I hear you've been pushing yourself. It is important to rest."

"I have a rival to catch up to." She jabs me with her finger.

"Well, why don't I help you then?"

"Getting help from my rival sounds lame."

"Just listen, I kinda cracked how bloodlines work. I can refine yours a bit to have different effects what do you say?"

"My bloodline doesn't have fancy abilities but I could use the extra boost."

{Boost!} I make an auditory illusion similar to the sound of Ddraig.

Vali was not impressed.

"Anyway, just look at these symbols. Devils have subconscious magic processors that can be enhanced with studying, so this is like a crash course." Seeing her nod I flash some meaningful symbols that will alter her bloodline.

Bloodlines are magic spells that are ingrained in duh blood but they can be enhanced. For example, the Phenex family can increase the effectiveness of their pyrokinesis by studying wind and fire magic.

I want Ravel as my manager, so, naturally, I am looking into them. Too bad she is into knights in shining armors, I will have to do something drastic to get her.

Anyway, there's a limit to increase, but since I am OP bullshit hax, those limits mean nothing to me.

After a minute Vali falls to her knees holding her head. I give her some headpats to alleviate the pain.

"So how is it?"

Vali doesn't answer but moves away before she burst into demonic energy, her form changes as her body twists into something demonic with black stony skin and blue lines over.

"Did you rip this off from Devil May Cry?" She looks like a female Vergil DT.

"No..." Shit, I didn't know they had that game here. I need to catch up with the current games.

"I believe you." She doesn't sound like that at all. Her voice is different too, to be honest DT in real life looks badass.

Her transformation doesn't last long and she turns back into human form again. She needs more training with it.

"Thank you for this Merlin, to be honest, I kept feeling inferior ever since Romania, you end up being the best at whatever you are doing and it made me feel bad but I guess realized that... I just want to say sorry for being rude." She hugs me her face looking up at me.

To be honest, I didn't notice anything, she kept avoiding me and I kept bribing her or Azazel to bring her with me.

"Well, what can I say I am the target of many people's envy."

"Don't ruin this!"

"Hahaha." Seeing me laugh Vali decides to shut me up with a kiss. She's shorter than but she manages to reach my lips.

"I have many ideas to boost your power. Tell me Vali do you have the motivation to get more power?"

"I have a feeling I am missing a joke but yes." So she knows the game but not the memes.

"Can you run 'Divide' through a katana to slice space apart?" Vali instantly connects the dots and hits my arm playfully.

"I guess I am taking up sword lessons now..."
