"Shit! He died again." A boy threw his sword the moment he landed on the ground. He used his levitating magic to pick up a dead body and carry it in his arms. "My tan skin is now even darker than yours." he commented as he compared his dark complexion to the pale, lifeless body on his arms. He looked at a corpse as if it was not new for him to see that person lifeless, but it doesn’t mean it’s not painful to see his brother like this. "It’s not a good time to die, Kuya." The boy softly talked to the lifeless body as he looked up at the blue sky. His long silver-blond hair swayed with the wind as he flew through the sky, ascending slowly without end. "The weather is too good for us to die." It was a bright and sunny morning. White, fluffy clouds drifted across the sky, and so did his mind. The boy’s purple eyes have turned darker the more he stares at his dead brother’s pink hair, stained with blood. He had been trying to make his brother’s life better in his every regression, but the more he tried, the earlier his brother died. Originally, his brother died at fifty, but now in his ninetieth try, his brother died too early, at fifteen years old. It made him wonder if his power to return in time would really help his brother to experience a good and peaceful life, which his brother had never experienced. Or if it was just a power to mess everything up and make his brother’s life miserable. “What did I miss this time? What more should I do?” The boy grumbled while he gripped tighter on his brother’s body. It’s tiring, especially because he keeps returning back in time nineteen times in less than a century. He fought a lot of higher beings that humans could never surpass, but he somewhat did. For his brother, he could face dragons, gods, beasts, and any kind of dangerous being. He becomes stronger and greater than any human. But why does he keep failing? The boy just let out a sigh before he sped up, ascending to the sky, only focusing on his direction toward the sun. “Let’s die again and try for the twentieth time. I will never give up.” ....... The eyes and interest of the higher gods are focused on the fragile-looking child whom the firstborn son of the Marquis wished to divert. Ernesto Oliva is doing his best to save his friend from the bored and conceited gods that have made their lives very twisted. He returned back to the past multiple times with one goal: to make his friend's life more fulfilling. "hic, hic, am I a bad child? hic hic can you kill me instead?"
Fetahaya sighed. "Child, you didn't kill your servant. You will see him again later. Didn't you hear what he said? Ernesto is back! "
Fetahaya tried her best to be jolly in front of the child despite being exhausted. She wanted to rest badly.
Frustration and anxiety envelop the heart of the child. "How can I return if I have this evil thing inside of me? What if I end up killing others again?"
She's been looking at the child with pity and curiosity.
[How can a child be this unlucky and lucky at the same time?]
Ndulou is blessed to have divine powers that will make him invisible to his enemy, but he is unfortunate at the same time to have awakened his reincarnated soul. The letdown part is that his body is too fragile and the child's personality is the opposite of the reincarnated soul.
[Does this mean he has gained a new personality?]
Fetahaya scratched her head over the complicated life of the child.
This kid has only lived for fifteen years and his cup is almost full]
"Child regarding that wolf inside of you, I still cannot tell what it is. I still need to recover some fragments of my memories before I can tell you anything. "
She held the hands of the child and placed them around the warm bowl of the soup.
"How about this? Eat, clean up yourself, and rest. While you're doing that, I'll gather information for you, and once I wake up tomorrow, let's talk again, " she gently suggested.
When reviewing fragments of memories, which is the same as sleeping, hitting two birds with one stone. She can rest while gaining information.
The child thought for a moment and looked at Fetahaya with uneasiness. "What if that wolf comes back again? What if I kill you too?"
"Do not worry, Tamahaling sealing powers are above average. I can assure you that he will be sealed for at least more than a month. Before that, let's calm down and rest. For now, let's plan for tomorrow. okay?"
Ndulou nodded, then he slowly scooped up the soup to eat.
He slowly felt the warmth of the soup while thinking of all that had happened to him after he came to the forest. First, he gains divine powers to avenge Ernesto and discovers that the dragon is not the one who killed Ernesto. Then, he managed to control the powers that were too much for his fragile body. Lastly, a vicious wolf controlled his body and ended up killing someone for the first time.
He scoops his soup with his still trembling hands. Although the soup is liquid, it is still hard to swallow as he started to choke up once more because he could not control his tears.
He is also in a state of confusion with Lucas, saying Ernesto is back. How can someone who has died come back? This question keeps repeating in his head while he follows the dragon to eat, clean, and rest.
Fetahaya left the child alone and asked another realm passing by to guard the child for a while and wake her up once something more happened.
She jumped onto her bed excitedly for the first time. She never felt exhausted like this ever before.
She then finds her most comfortable sleeping position and starts to sleep to watch the memories of the original dragon.
"Fenrir!" the original dragon Lakas shouted as he walked closer to a middle aged man. Fetahaya observed Lakas first, who is still a young dragon with cute little paws and wings that are still smaller than his head.
She then moved to observe the guy Lakas was calling.
Mmm.
The middle-aged man has this tired expression on his face that you cannot tell if he is just being lazy or is just sick of living.
"Little lizard, don't randomly call out the king's name as you please," Fenrir stated as he pinched both of the dragons' cheeks.
"I aam nawt a lwizard! I am a mighty dragon!" The cute dragon protested.
"Anyway, kid, why are you looking for me?"
"I heard your original body is located in the Kimbal territory. Let me see it!" Lakas excitedly requested.
[Kimbal?] Fetahaya heard the two conversations with full attention [it is the former name of the marquis territory]
"Not today, kid, maybe in the future."
That fragment of memory ends there and is switched into different scenes. Some of them are interesting, but most of them show the daily life of the original dragon, Lakas.
"Mmn" Fetahaya groaned into her bed and didn't wish to get up, but she could feel the presence of a child sitting at the edge of her bed. "What?" She stretched out her body while only one of her eyes was open to look at Ndulou, who was just staring at her.
"Your servants speak different languages, so I can't understand them."
"My servants?" She sprung up from lying down. The child's statement wakes her up. "Who?" she confusedly asked, and Ndulou responded by pointing at the three half-transparent beings who were also roaming around her room.
Her jaw dropped. "You see them?"
The child just tilted her head, saying, "Why aren't I supposed to see them?"
"No need to understand them, they're just there to exist"
Ndulou looked at the three that are called "other realm people" and shook his head.
"I still want to thank them. You can talk to them ate?"
This time, Fetahaya tilted her head. "Thank them for what?"
"Ah, because I don't feel lonely staying here for a month, waiting for you to wake up."
The child touched the hand of the dryad looking dragon with concern in his eyes. "I am sorry that I exhausted you so much."
Fetahaya blinked her eyes multiple times before realizing. "Ah! I forgot! Humans perceive time differently!"
What she meant by "tomorrow" is the day she wakes up. Dragon's sleeps for at least a month to consider it one good night's sleep. Dragon's feel that a day for humans is just a minute of their time. This is why she doesn't feel bad living for hundreds of years.
She grabbed the head of the child and hugged him.
"Oh! child, are you all right?" She got worried that the child was waiting in fear of the seal going off.
"Hmm?" She pushed the child's face off her chest and looked at them thoroughly. "Why do you look healthier? and the seal is stronger!" She also checked the child's internal body.
Fetahaya hugged the child again. Ndulou ends up comfortably leaning on Fetahaya's soft and bouncy chest.
[I apologize if I left the child to all of you. What happened ma'am and sir? Why didn't you wake me up?]
She respectfully asked the half-transparent beings with a respectful tone. She's conversing with them in other realms language. That is why Ndulou just watches them talk while being hugged.
[No need to apologize, the kid is so charming.] The half-transparent lady's eyes sparkle.
[and very pure!] a feminine, muscular guy] added while placing his hands on his chest.
[ehem!] the most serious looking half transparent being made a fake cough to get their attention [Ms. Dragon, you left the poor child trembling waiting for you, so we plainly accompanied and comforted him].
He looked at the child with a warm gaze as he continued to talk [a jumper also came here and helped the child to heal and make his seal stronger].
[a jumper? How can a jumper enter my lair?]
She made her lair intruder proof, so she is quite sure that no one can enter her lair without waking her up. [The kid] knows the jumper and goes out to meet him. We accompany him so that he will be safe.]
"You went out!?" She looks down at her chest to ask the child.
"Yes, Ate, Ernesto's friend came here and also helped me." Ndulou sits down properly facing her.
"He said that he came here to escort me back home" Fetahaya wondered who this individual was who had stronger sealing power than the Tamahaling. "If he is guiding you home, why are you still here?"
Ndulou fidgets before answering, "I don't want to leave you alone since it's my fault that you became ill." The child feels guilty over what he's done.
Fetahaya is feeling exhausted once again. "Then who is this friend of Ernesto who is a jump- wait, is it the blue wolf?" Fetahaya figured out who the lone jumper they knew was.
"Blue wolf? No, he is human," Ndulou innocently answered.
"Haha, no, what I mean is, he looks like a blue wolf. Anyway, it's the Duke's son, right?" Ndulou nodded in response. "Then did Ernesto order him to come? Is he fine now?"
He shook his head with a gloomy expression, "He said Ernesto is still bedridden and doesn't know where I am. Young Master Watson just came here to find my whereabouts since Ernesto was asking." His gloomy expression was mixed with gratitude towards the young master.
[I almost forgot about the Ayam. He is a good healer and sealer] Fetahaya felt relieved after knowing that she wouldn't have to deal with the complicated stuff alone.
"Wait, why does your left eye look weird?" She checked on the child's eyes closely, and Ndulou got away from her out of discomfiture, then covered his left eye with his hand.
"Young Master Watson said that he concentrates his seals on my eyes. That is why it became weird, but I can see clearly!" His eyes are still the same, aside from the tiny runic words swimming in his eyes.
Fetahaya shrugged her shoulders and got off her bed. "Well, no need to be conscious, it's not noticeable unless someone stares closely at your eyes closely"
After saying that, she changed her dryad-looking transformation into an old-fashioned looking maid.
"Young master, it's time to go home." She smiled brightly.
