A New Team

Gorou throws both of his axes at Tadako. Tadako Jumps to the side. The axes go past her. Gorou moves his hands. The axes change directions and fly at Tadako. Tadako grabs the axes. She feels the axes trying to pull themselves out of her hands.

Tadako: Chaos Style: Demon flame Jutsu.

The Axes light on fire with a purple and black flame. Tadako throws the axes at Gorou. Gorou stops the axes before they hit him.

Tadako: Fire Style: Flame Breath Jutsu!

Tadako breaths fire out of her mouth like a flamethrower. The fire sends the axes into Gorou. All Tadako can See in the flames she is sending at Gorou. Through the flames she sees purple and black. The two axes cut through the fire. Tadako moves back quickly. The two axes slice her shoulders. She stops sending off flames. Gorou moves his hands. The axes fly after Tadako.

Tadako: Earth Style Barrier: Earth Dome Prison!

A mound of rocks all cover over the two axes. Tadako can hear the clinking sound of the axes hitting the rocks to try to get out.

Tadako: Now, the seven swordsmen can die a second time.

Tadako makes a hand sign.

Tadako: Chaos Style: Everlasting Death!

Purple and black flames start appearing around Gorou in a circle. The flames sprout up like the spark on a fuse slowly moves to detonate the bomb. The fire circles around him. The flames get twice as large and completely cut Gorou off from escaping.

Gorou: Ah!

The flames cover Gorou's body. Tadako moves her hands. All the flames go out at once. Gorou's charred body lays there.

Tadako: I need to stop the tournaments.

One of Gorou's axes goes through Tadako's back. The rock dome is broken. Tadako drops to the ground. Some of the axe is sticking out of the front of her. Tadako looks up with blood pouring out of her mouth.

Tadako: Tetsuya…

Tetsuya crouches down to Tadako's level.

Tetsuya: All according to the plan. We didn't think anyone could beat you. From what you displayed there, I think we were right. Gorou is a strong fighter, and you fought him like it was nothing. I didn't want to have to kill someone with so much potential, but you would never have joined us.

Tadako: The rumors are true then.

Tetsuya: They're true, but what does that matter? You're on your deathbed. You will never be able to see us in action. Be happy you don't have to see it.

Tetsuya gets up and walks away. Tadako uses all of her strength to try and get up. She doesn't have enough strength left to lift herself even an inch off the ground. Soon her eyes close.

Katashi picks up Renjiro's sword. Renjiro's tails are still holding the Tailed Beast Bomb.

Katashi: Why should I give you the sword?

Renjiro: Are you stupid? Do you want to die? I'm fighting a tailed beast for control over my body to save us, and you're asking questions.

Katashi: Fine, because it's our only option.

Katashi throws the blade at Renjiro. Renjiro catches the sword. Renjiro puts the sword into the Tailed Beast Bomb. The sword slowly absorbs the ball of chakra. The ball is completely sucked into the sword. The sword is glowing purple. Renjiro tries to release the ball into the air. The blade doesn't let go.

Renjiro: It's unstable! Get down!

Renjiro throws the blade as high in the sky as he can. A giant explosion like nothing Renjiro has ever seen before explodes in the sky. Wind pushes Renjiro and Katashi back. Some trees are knocked down by the wind. The explosion looked like a meteor. Katashi stands back up. Renjiro's tailed beast chakra slowly dissolves off of him.

Katashi: Now you die.

Renjiro laughs.

Renjiro: Will I?

Everything goes black around the two of them.

Katashi: Has this all been a genjutsu?!

Renjiro: Not all of it, and this isn't a genjutsu. This is my personal dimension. When you were staring at me as I was in the demon fox cloak I was able to bring us both here. I couldn't risk the nine tails sending off a tailed beast bomb. Lucky for us, we were here.

Katashi: What happens now.

Renjiro closes his fist. Swords stab all throughout Katashi.

Renjiro: That's why I was laughing. This is my, personal, dimension. Anything I want can happen. This is a little payback for trying the same thing on me with that dome.

Katashi: D-

A blade goes through Katashi's head. They both return to the real world. Katashi drops to the ground. He has no swords in him, but the stab wounds are still there.

Renjiro: Now I have to find that bunker tunnel thing to get out of this place.

Renjiro looks around. A spot in his vision is blurry. He shakes his head and moves on.

Renjiro: I must be tired.

A group of ninja jumps across the trees. Kichi is leading the group of ninja.

Kichi: Renjiro?! You killed another swordsmen. Thank god the swordsmen were after you.

Renjiro: Huh?

Kichi: The swordsmen were trying to kill everyone. C'mon, I'm getting people out of this death camp.

Renjiro shrugs and follows the group.

Ray and Kenzo look at the exploded body.

Kenzo: I'm not going to ask how you did that. We got some more important business to take care of.

Ray: What business?!

Kenzo: Getting out of here!

Ray: Oh, where's the bunker?

Kenzo: I don't know Ray. That's why we have business to take care of!

Kenzo and Ray both split up, looking for the bunker. Kenzo sees some type of open door on the ground. He walks over to it. He smells the stench of death. Kenzo looks inside. There are a lot of dead bodies in the bunker. All of the bodies have been stabbed several times.

Kenzo: Ray!

Ray rushes over.

Ray: You found it. You got lucky. I would have definitely found it first.

Kenzo: Look.

Ray sees a lot of dead bodies in the bunker.

Ray: What? Are you afraid of dead people? They don't even move!

Kenzo: No, we have to be careful the person who did that isn't still there.

Ray: Pshh! Nonsense.

Ray starts climbing down the ladder.

Kenzo: Wait, what about Nanami. I can't leave without her.

Ray: Shit, I can! See you on the other side amigo!

Kenzo: See you on the other side.

Kenzo runs off.

Nanami is sitting in the darkness of the wood prison she made.

Nanami: I need to figure out how to stop his blade. I'll test it.

Nanami breaks through the wood prison.

Nanami: Wood Style: Wood Cutter!

Wooden spikes are shot at Ezume. Ezume dodges the ones at him. One spike is about to go through the gear on his weapon. He catches it. Nanami thinks to herself.

Nanami: Why didn't he dodge it? That's the secret!

Nanami lands on the ground and runs over to the gear. As she is running Ezume makes hand signs.

Ezume: Water Style: Giant Vortex Jutsu!

Nanami just barely manages to dodge the vortex as it glides across the ground. Ezume gets ready to use another jutsu. A Nanami clone appears behind Ezume. Ezume elbows her in the stomach. The clone poofs into smoke. Ezume gets ready to use the jutsu on Nanami. Nanami punches at Ezume. Ezume dodges back. Nanami switches hands and punches the middle of the gear as hard as she can. The glass in the gear shatters.

Ezume: No!

Nanami pulls the weapon out of the ground.

Ezume: Water Style-

Nanami slams the gear on the side of Ezume's head. Ezume hits the ground hard. Nanami stabs the hand through Ezume's back.

???: Nanami!

Nanami: Kenzo? Kenzo!

Kenzo comes out of the bushes.

Kenzo: Good, you killed the swordsmen. C'mon, we found the bunker.

A group of people jump out of the trees.

Shinobi: More people to take down.

Kenzo: We don't need to fight! We can show you the way to the bunker!

Shinobi: This is a tournament. We're gonna fight!

Kenzo: Nanami, you go to the bunker. You're probably low on chakra. I can take care of these guys.

Nanami: It will be easier if we both do it.

Kenzo: I have a tailed beast and I know where the bunker is. Just go the way I came, alright?

Nanami nods and runs off.

Shinobi: Your girlfriend left you?

Kenzo laughs. A purple aura surrounds him.

Kenzo: This will be easy. What do you think, Goku?

Son Goku: They're nothing.

Kenzo rushes at them.

Nanami finds the bunker.

Nanami: This is disgusting.

She cautiously walks through the bunker. When she comes out of the other side she sees Ray. There are two anbu in front of Ray with a clipboard.

Ray: Yup, right the name down. Ray Uchiha, champion of the tournament.

Anbu: Sir, you are not the winner. You passed the tournament.

Ray: Yeah, and to pass, you must win!

Nanami walks up to them.

Anbu: Oh, one more. That's the last one.

The anbu takes out a red flare. He shoots the flare up into the sky.

Nanami: What is that?

Anbu: They didn't tell you. That means the tournament is over.

Nanami: But-

Anbu: It's not time based, we can only have a certain amount of shinobi.

Ray starts laughing.

Ray: Kenzo went in there to help you, and now he didn't pass the tournament! What a dumbass!

Nanami looks horrified.

Nanami: I'm the reason he isn't a ninja.

Kichi's group comes out of the bunker. The bunker is clear. They all leave the bunker. They see anbu with a clipboard.

Anbu: They are the first to come out of the jonin side.

They see the chunin flare.

Anbu: Maybe the chunin are better than the jonin.

Kichi: Look at that, Renjiro. You're now a Leaf Shinobi again.

Renjiro: I guess I am.

One week later, Kichi, Nanami, and Ray are sitting at Ichiraku ramen.

Kichi: It's time we bring the team back.

Ray: Oh, now you think we're useful!

Kichi: I needed you to focus on training your own way. I can't train all three of you at one time and expect to catch you guys up.

Nanami looks down.

Nanami: How are we supposed to have a team without Kenzo? What are they even doing with Kenzo? We weren't allowed to see him.

Kichi: Kenzo will be kicked out of the village. He will probably just go back to the hidden stone. We'll see him soon. Onto the new team. Now that the Hokage is dead, no one is leading the village. I don't know if we are allowed to do this, but I found your new team member.

Ray: No… it's not him.

Renjiro sits down next to Kichi.

Nanami: Renjiro?!

Renjiro: I'm back.

Kenzo is led out of the village by a member of the anbu. The anbu stops at the gate. Kenzo has a backpack of stuff.

Kenzo: What happened to the partnership between our villages?!

Anbu: Sorry, cancelled.

Kenzo turns and looks at the pathway ahead.

Kenzo: I can go wherever I want.

Kenzo starts walking.

Kenzo: It'll be a lonely road. Good I have you Goku.

Son Goku: I would never be friends with someone below me.

Kenzo: I'll grow on you.

Tetsuya walks into the room full of the people in white cloaks. He sits at the table. Orochimaru is at the end.

Orochimaru: How did it go?

Tetsuya: Not well. I was able to kill some of the ninja that went through the tunnel, but not nearly enough ninja were killed by the swordsmen.

An older woman speaks.

???: Did Renjiro kill Katashi?

Tetsuya: Katashi is dead, Himari.

Himari: He is really shaping out for the perfect replacement for Gorou. Just like we thought. I knew sending Katashi after him would be a good test.

???: Tetsuya must complete the next step.

Orochimaru: Tetsuya, you must become Hokage.

Himari: That is the next step.

Tetsuya: I will become Hokage. Everyone will fear the Akatsuki.
